The 1st one it the correct way to do

Still I do not understand this if the wire is still split the current should still continue no matter if there is another device or SPD next to it... so weird

Which one is correct and which one is wrong? And why? Please reply

To be having a 2nd circuit protective breaking device before SPD is not a bad idea, but I find it irrelevant. Once the SPD has been triggered by the HV, the fuses are forced to blow by the current spike, even though they resisted to high voltage.

Type 2 will damage breaker after surge effect

Because all the current is sent to it? It should only measure differences?
