Part of going to church is going to learn about God today not yesterday or tomorrow. Gods love infroms us for the moment. A holy spirit guides us for today. We are unknown everyday

Humility is having an ACCURATE view of oneself and our relationship with God and others.
Humility is knowing that He is God and I'm not.
Humility is knowing that I'm special and unique, just like everyone else! 😂😂
Humility is knowing there are some things I actually am competent in and that I do have talents. Humility is NOT downplaying these facts; that's false humility. Humility is, as Fr Mike wisely points out, knowing that just because I'm talented or competent in certain areas does not make me the expert in other areas!
Humility is being curious! This happens to many scientists, the more they study some element of God's creation and become an "expert" in that area, the more they discover that they DON'T know and have a lot more questions!

Wow! That is so excellently put, father Mike! Things really changed for me when I first heard that quote about not thinking less of yourself But thinking of yourself less. I used to be a very extremely self-critical person, but then I realized after hearing that quote that I spent too much time thinking about myself and what I looked like and what people were thinking of me, instead of just being God's beloved and focusing outward onto others.❤❤❤ I can be humble and still not think badly about myself. It goes together quite well actually😂

I had struggled with a misunderstanding of humility ever since I was a child. I knew that we were called to be humble but didn’t like what I thought I knew about it. Over time I came to a better understanding of humility. Praying the Humility Prayer eventually showed me that it could also be called the Prayer of Courage or the Prayer of Freedom because it asks the Lord to free us of the emotional snares that keep us from acting with faith and confidence. Fr. Mike, your summary of the struggle and the truth that takes us beyond the common misunderstanding is a breath of fresh air! Thank you adding clarity in pointing out that honesty is key.😁

real humility is a good thing. but those who expect humility for you don't really mean that. as far as accepting criticism no one really likes to be criticized and those who criticize you rarely give you constructive criticism usually they just want to hurt you. and if you were facing this type of criticism long enough you will no longer accept any criticism even if it is constructive. it will just anger you. and those who think of themselves as tough but fair while at some point one might understand even respect that if pushed past a certain point one will just find it annoying. you can be tough but fair with a dog don't try it with me. where I'm from you can do one of two things. believe other's criticism and go to depression and possibly self harm. of understand that If you are a normal person among not normal people you are the one who seems abnormal to them. also one needs to understand one's own worth. and if it leads to realization that you are superior to those who hurt you or even those who just criticized you (including those who offered you somewhat constructive criticism) and someone calls it a sin of pride so be it. also word pride itself has two quite different meanings and there really be two words in stead of one for it. some talk about humility but religions are full of arrogance and in US winning is everything and that is what to Americans matters the most. and the sad truth is that those who expect you to turn the other cheek are either delusional or want you to be less likely to be willing to protect yourself against them.

I struggle with this so much. I learn more and more about the faith, but I still live with so much anxiety.
I feel I don’t deserve God’s love. I feel like I am too selfish and only focus on worldly troubles. I am not in a place where I can build competence or confidence. I’m a mess.

Humility can be often misinterpreted. Unintentional misinterpretation of scriptures can affect mindsets.
Please guys, as a Christian, have you ever misinterpreted Bible verses and how did it affect your mindset negatively? Please can you share your experience

This was helpful to understand. In summary from my understanding: The ability to Acknowledge the truth = Humility. Confidence means we are not threatened by the truth, even when it doesn’t benefit us. Thus we have humility. Remember that our value is founded in God and not in the world.

Being humble and confident is what my dear aunt is like. She is widowed now and had the best most stable marriage I have ever seen. Going to their Christian household as a child gave me hope and to find the same kind of marriage too. I have it now, thank Jesus. She is an inspiration to me and a very good role model

I've studied Social Psychology, Behavioural Biology, Psychology, Transactional Analysis.... And what this man is doing is Freudian negative (NLP "negging") victim blaming, of people who have been bullied (which is nowadays classified as "Psychological Murder.... attempting to demoralise people so much, as to try to "push them over the edge"). Victim blaming is a well known and widely recognised sign of an abusive character. His "Sunday Mass" appears to be more aligned with the dodgy "neo Catechumenate" nonesense, cult like split off, from the Vatican. What an idiot. He always talks complete nonesense. No wonder he's always begging for "donations".... Nobody's interested.

. . .Pope Clemente Vl, for example, doubted that the torches ADVISED BY HIS "POPE" PHYSICIANS . .Would prevent plague.

Pope Clemente Vl knew he didn't know much about these things. . .But that he wasn't dumb, either.
(Pope died soon after anyway-but his skepticism of contemporary immunology was proven correct-and would live on to help "edify" others).

Praying 7 sorrows of rosary for my father and whole family. I hope the recitation of rosary daily with devout concentration can teach me what true humility is . Praying for my father because i feel like my father carry pride within him even if he is believer in christ . This where its hard to differentiate if we are humble or just driven by ego .

Just watched your mass for today, love how this ties in with Fr. Mike’s homily! I noticed that Fr. Mike’s eyes look a little strained in this video, I just wanted to share that there is help for that as I get strained all the time too and one of the best things you can do is called palming. You place the palms of your hands over your eyes (without pressing on your eyeballs) so as to block out all light, and think about something nice. This relaxes your eyes and gives them a break which helps with strain.
I learned this from an eye doctors (Dr. Bates) book ‘Perfect eyesight without glasses’, it’s completely scientific😊 Dr. Bates was a New York based ophthalmologist back in the 1920’s. In his book he outlines the method he used in his clinic to cure myopia and all other types of eye conditions. His work was rejected by the other ophthalmologists of his day because he believed accommodation is achieved not by the lens muscles but by the muscles around the eye.

Google basically calls him a quack, but I personally believe he was on to something. After reading his book I’ve been trying his methods and my eyesight is slowly becoming, indeed, perfect😊

The ultimate humility is when you can confidently say ," I'm an unprofitable servant! " For what this statement ultimately means notwithstanding the inside vision of God , you were unable to alter the river of time and dam up the water heading back to the delta , where garbage floats out to the middle of the ocean and become the size of Texas ! This is where humility and confidence ultimately rises to the zenith of accomplishment and the awareness and vision beyond all others on planet earth....
