Extremely Reliable Car No One Talks About
ОтветитьR&R i see that these cars all have the Beta ii engine 2.0, are these all similarly good and recommended?
04-09 Hyundai Tucson
05-10 Kia Sportage
03-08 Kia Spectra
08-11 Kia Soul
i own an 06 elantra that i like. i did the timing belt in my driveway. i watched your video on it which was super. best regards.
ОтветитьI had a 2014 Elantra. I have really mixed views on it. I drove it cross-country several times and it never failed me.
It was great on gas, easy to maneuver and park, and was surprisingly large on the inside. And it came with all the gizmos - Bluetooth, satellite radio, backup camera and all of it worked.
But it was cheaply built. The suspension crashed on potholes. It had carbon buildup. No power going uphill. And while it had a lot of infotainment gizmos, everything was bargain basement. You could barely hear the radio or Bluetooth phone at highway speeds because road noise was so loud. The paint started going. Interior pieces felt flimsy.
It was what it was - a cheap economy car.
Keep making more videos bro 👍
ОтветитьGood morning! I’m looking to buy a car to go to work.. they are selling me a Tucson 2006 with 140,000 miles on it…it has a 4 cylinder engine… is this the same engine as the Elantra?
ОтветитьI have Hyundai Elantra 2015 220,000 miles on it no problem and still going strong
Normal wear and tear
I hate that car
ОтветитьAs always, a very informative video. I bought a 1999 Hyundai Elantra GS new. I recently sold the car with almost 300,000 miles and it was still running. In 2005, I bought a new Hyundai Elantra GT and I still have it today with near 215,000. Both cars were and are very reliable for me. I have maintained them over the years and replaced essential parts before they wore out which I credit for the longevity. To sum it up, I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of these vehicles and I have nothing but good things to say about Hyundai. Like all vehicles, there are good ones and bad ones, but I believe maintenance and care dictates the life of the vehicle!
ОтветитьJust bought a 17 Elantra Ultimate, glad to know it’s gonna be reliable down the road. Kinda boring to drive and the steering wheel is numb but as a commuter, can’t complain 👍🏼
ОтветитьSo far, so good with my 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring GLS with a 2.0l engine - reliable, good on gas, lots of cargo space, decent performance. Great A to B transportation!
ОтветитьYo I have a 2013 Elantra it’s mad reliable when you said Hyundai elantra my mood lit up my heart started to race
Ответить2000 Hyundai accent 5-speed with a 1.5 l engine. I was a little bit nervous because the owner never really worked on the coolant and it showed when I flushed. But I've already put 13,000 mi on the engine with minimal problems. Basic maintenance issues of wear-and-tear only. It currently has 200,000 😂 it's one of my food delivery cars going to run this thing into the ground
Ответитьif you are a mechanic, you can handle most cars
ОтветитьThank you,
This Hyundai car is better than Nissan.
Hi I love your show! Are you in the US?
ОтветитьYou don’t have to be a experienced mechanic to work on them either. I had bought a 09 spectra and I didn’t realize about the timing belt when I bought it and it had 119k and everything was still working and factory. And it wasn’t until 144k till I was confident and changed the timing belt. It took me a week but I have never done a timing belt before I just followed instructions and one of the first videos I watched was by you. Technically my cars engine timing belt should have been replaced twice but it could have made it longer with the factory belt but that would be pushing it. Besides that and normal wear and tear , it’s made it to almost 150 k and still has the factory head gaskets, engine, transmission, parts that many newer cars fail at early mileage. There’s so many cars that don’t even make it to 100k without some sort of major failure but yet without a doubt everytime I use my car it runs and drives and everything works. Just like almost cars if you take care of them they will take care of you. A factory can only do so much to a car and you have to take it as is. You can’t blame the car for failing if you didn’t take care of it. The factory even recommends what to do. Why do you think there’s laws for tentants when they move out of s rental the landlord has to be okay with wear and tear. You wouldn’t get mad at a tentat for wear and tear it’s not like they purposely damaged anything the same goes for a car.
ОтветитьHyundai Elantra NOT Honda Elantra
ОтветитьHUND
ОтветитьScotty Kilmer may or may not agree.
ОтветитьRecently bought a ‘09 Kia Spectra5. Nice to hear your comments on this power train. Mine has the hydraulic power steering, not electric. I don’t know if that’s a Canada only thing or if the internet is wonky on this. Anyway, replaced timing belt, flushed cooling system, highest grade fluid changes everywhere and now looking for lots of trouble free kms. Nice little car with lots of zip. I unsubscribed Scotty Kilmer who calls it the worst car ever. Appreciate your informative style without the rant, hype and over-generalizations.
ОтветитьI run all of my vehicles on 100℅ antifreeze no water!! You will never! Have a problem....
ОтветитьÀwesome as usual
ОтветитьAll those old Hyundai are butt ugly tho
ОтветитьHyundai makes good cars these days
ОтветитьOn a related note, 3rd generation Hyundai Accents are pretty darn reliable as well.
I have a 2008 with over 210,000 miles on it, still gets 30+ mpg.
GREAT VIDEO!
so which one of these models came with the optional spontaneous combustion package?
ОтветитьDon’t Buy Sonata! Hyundai just put in a new engine on my daughters Hyundai I am so sad I was devastated her car just locked up it’s dangerous it’s crazy we got it back today I do not trust that car as a take the loss they said they installed a new engine it’s under warranty for life but what is life her very first car that she bought and I did like them I loved the Genesis Coupe although I never see them on the road should she get rid of it?
ОтветитьRegulations forced cars to get safer, heavier and more efficient. That made engines more complex and computerized, likely to fail. That’s why more people lease cars, or buy CPO off lease with extended warranties. Or buy older cars like 2007-09 👍
ОтветитьYou look like my friend "Chuchu" James.
ОтветитьGood one, lad. Hyundai Elantra's are great to have, even fully restored to showroom like condition for expert Hyundai mechanics and car restorators.
ОтветитьURGENT:
Is 2008 Hyundai TUCSON a hidden gem also????
Doing a video on the s2000 cx
ОтветитьHe , Elantra
Me , closing video
They can be reliable in my experience, but it’s a gamble. If they’ve been poorly maintained then they’re not worth the money to put in unless you do your own work. I would avoid Hyundai 11-13 I’ve seen many engine failures on theses years. Just my two cents.
ОтветитьLet me tell you "Zehrs add "., you should do a little first hand research of your add ., I can't be the only one with u tube hooked to a sound system, & your pounding music add would just be annoying normally., but given U Tube hasn't mastered volume control, (even with corporate backed videos) ,It becomes something of a game to see how fast I can turn off your message entirely,to the point of ignoring the the video portion also...wake up!...I'm at least 2 generations away from the people that would view it , "if " you got rid of the sound track !
ОтветитьHey also the 5spd accent from 2002, had one that lasted for over 200,000 miles, just routine maintence and one clutch replacement, that and 40 mpg all day long, great lil car, sometimes I miss her but then I remember how lil hrsprs she had and then the tears go away, 😄
ОтветитьBought a 2012 Elantra and the brake discs turned into rusted potato chips within a year in Ohio. Motor and manual transmission were flawless.
ОтветитьI have the 2017 Elantra since brand new and so far it's been great for the past three years!
ОтветитьHey y u don't do japanese reliable cars??? Like civic , Corolla n camery accord???
ОтветитьI'm onboard with you buddy just bought an 08 grand prix, series 3
Ответитьagain, thank you! these videos ROCK!!!
ОтветитьHyundai went completely to shit from 2011 onwards. It's really a shame.
ОтветитьThanks Buddy and all the best from Australia. Good Channel!
ОтветитьI just bought a 2013 Elantra with ticking noise. I got 2 days left to my 30 days warranty .
I sent the dealer I bought it from an email describing the ticking and what it may turn out to be today and that I would like it looked at. Then I called him. He said he is with a customer and will call me back in a half hour, a half hour ago. Thats why I sent an email thru his website describing the problem and I took screen shots for my proof that I contacted him before the thirty days is up. I hope that is enough to keep me in the warranty since I contacted him 2 days before. This is not gonna be fun. Thanks for Info
I bought a 2004 Elantra brand new and I botched the first oil change. All the oil leaked out on the highway from the oil filter seal, but I caught it in time before driving too far. This car is still on the road with a second driver with 150k+ miles. During my ownership an oxygen sensor and an alternator was all it needed.
ОтветитьI have only had great experience with Hyundai. I can buy whatever I want now so I buy Toyota but just because I want it.
ОтветитьDef love this series . Honda and Toyota are so overpriced in my area right now .
ОтветитьIn 2006 the engines were Mitsubishi still.
ОтветитьGreat video. Your advice is solid and clear. I’ve been watching you for some time and hope to keep listening at your recommendations. Keep up!
