7/8 sounds so rytmically wrong:D i would never play such pieces
ОтветитьI’ve got my grade 1 booked for next month and these nerds made it look so easy they boogied to it 😂 Bastards 😅😉🫶
ОтветитьI love sightreading adventures!
But even without my recorder and not counting double and triple notes I got more and more problems only just translating the notes into shape and motion in my brain that quickly the more you got on.
I think sightreading notes is quite like sightreading text - it is practice and experience. Reading really complicated texts while understanding and expressing the meaning to the hearer would be as difficult - only that in music there ist no limitation in speed and strange intervalls can feel like invented nonsense words...
You did great!
sightreading is not that hard
Ответитьi am 9 years old and on grade 7
ОтветитьThis made me laugh a lot. AND it was very instructive (and daunting). Thanks for posting. Glad you two are human too. Meanwhile, won’t be trying these exams any time soon… 😂💕🎻
ОтветитьThat last one is the piece you give to the cocky asshole that's always talking down to everyone else. just to knock him down a peg.
ОтветитьWatching Brett and Eddy mess up the sightreading makes me feel a lot better about my exam
Ответитьwhy are you so happy HAHAH
ОтветитьFor me sight reading notes is fine. Tempo is always hard with me. :( I'm only level 2 though
ОтветитьI got til lvl 7😅😄
ОтветитьSeriously, Brett’s humility is humbling.
ОтветитьGod i remember for my piano sightreading, stopping was a HUGE no-no and i always did it cause i got so nervous
The trauma
love how eddy just completely ignored the up bows on the seventh grade piece lol :)
ОтветитьABRSM Examiner: so you have been playing for 2 weeks now, you learnt what a crotchet was this week and this is your grade 1 exam right? ... Now please sight read this paganini piece. Dont forget the dynamic markings. Begin!
ОтветитьGreat show! Thanks!
Ответитьi think that the FRSM for Eddy should've counted because he did that entire thing perfect on the second go
ОтветитьI REALLY LIKE these two guys!!! I think that they're a REALLY good laugh!!! Furthermore, as someone who's been studying music for most of my life (I'm nearly 48 and a half) I LOVE the fact that I stumbled upon their channel as it's GREAT to have someone I can relate to!!!
Please don't get me wrong, my family have ALWAYS been TOTALLY supportive, and both my parents ABSOLUTELY LOVE classical music as well, but I'm the only one who's studied it seriously.
Unfortunately ABRSM doesn't have sight reading now
ОтветитьNo one will probably see this but those sound effects remind me of the game yume nikki
Ответитьlove it
Ответитьwhat i never understood about violin is how you can play two notes at once. i play alto sax so like idk
ОтветитьAs a player who has been playing violin for 5 months, I got somewhere near 1st-2nd grade
ОтветитьBruh, they really tried to emulate Bach and failed so hard it’s sad
ОтветитьI am doing grade 7 for trumpet in the summer and seeing the sight reading piece I am terrified
ОтветитьThat last piece that Eddy played was actually very beautiful!
Ответитьgrade 2 brett's speed is definitely not allegro
ОтветитьGotta work on that Italian pronunciation lads
Ответитьthat grade 5 sight reading 1st one the top d I messed up on an audition but I still got in tho
Ответитьim dying to know where i can get the hungarian dance sheet music for the 8th level that brett played
ОтветитьQuestion: hOw dO yOu Do ViBrAtO sO CoMfOrTabLy? mY hAnD iS nOt BuiLt FoR tHaT also do u do vibrato like for anything you pla y?
ОтветитьI think the accents in the lullaby piece are suppose to sound like that, it gives it a sort of unbalanced feel like your drifting off to sleep. At first I was expecting, from hearing the name, like its purpose was to lull one to sleep. Out of them all, that particular one is my favorite, just because of its contrast to the others.
ОтветитьTHAT WAS AMAZING
ОтветитьBrett when Eddy is playing:😶 Eddy when Brett is playing:🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьOnly the best of friends can feel the others adrenaline rush.
ОтветитьI like how they pronounce italian words hahaha (not so bad honestly but the accent is funny).
ОтветитьPiano sight-reading is much harder
Ответитьmy cat loved to watch this video
ОтветитьBut everything is possible
Ответитьa lot of these were supposed to be allegro
ОтветитьLol idk why just watching this gave me test anxiety 😆
ОтветитьEddy did great attempting FRSM!
ОтветитьEvery time I come back to this video I spend my time wondering what kind of friend Brett is to let Eddy go on camera with his hair looking like that. 😆
ОтветитьI love it when Brett wins!!
Ответитьif some of you thik this is difficult to do, imagine me, a 15 year old college student, balancing a grade 8 exam with normal courses... its been rough to say the least
Ответитьam i the only one that reads ABRSM as “ah-bur-i-sm” ?
Ответить
