The information in this video is not very accurate. I have a 5.56 NATO 16 inch M4. She shoots .223 also. So this video is not quite accurate. You can 100% own one as a civilian. They are extremely fun to shoot.

The M4 is an AR15. Just like a MK18 is an AR15. For those watching, I’d strongly suggest taking what this guy is saying with a grain of salt. He says that the AR15 can be bought in 300 winchester magnum which just isn’t true.

Who cares? To get the best results out of 5.56, you need a 20" barrel. Any shorter and you are sacrificing down range ballistics.

Don't give me that, "I need it to clear rooms." The Marines do it with a 20". And, I learned in the army, 1st guy through the door, is the 1st guy on the floor.

i love how this video doesnt mention the fact that they make m4s in semi-auto for civilian use too. you can look them up and they are really nice modern design that looks like beeffier versions of the ar15

If you buy a fixed stock AR, it's because you were looking for one. It's way more common for citizens ARs to come with adjustable stocks. This video is crazy inaccurate.

You don't need a tax stamp for every rifle under 16 inches. Stop spreading false information.

ohhh jeez where to start with this video, so most AR-15s are 5.56 guns which can also fire .223 Remington, you can own ARs with a barrel shorter than 16 inches they are just classified as pistols and you d be really hard pressed to find fixed stock ARs today other than the military clones made by colt FN and PSA.

the M4 only coming in 5.56 isn't really a con when you realize that 5.56 is one of the most common calibers on the market, like you might as well say it grow on trees.

There are single fire M4's. For civilian use.

The info in the video is incorrect. The M4 isn't just a military firearm, (the Colt LE and CR6920 variants are both M4 rifle variants on the civilian market,) you can buy a legal full-auto lower in the civilian market, and there are 14.5" barrels available on the civilian market as well. What differentiates an M4 from an AR-15 is that the M4 has a military BCG and a carbine length gas system and it can fire both 5.56×45MM and .223, whereas an AR-15 can typically only shoot .223.

You almost never come across M4s in gun stores. It’s illegal to sell select fire weapons in the USA without a tax stamp, Registration, etc.,
