It's not about assisting developers, it's about making them redundant - along with other professions.
GTP-4 is taking your input to move itself that much further ahead.

Hey Nick... you make me facepalm... my friend... it is beyond obvious that you don't understand the disruptive implications of such tech. It is beyond obvious that you have not read the literature!

Did you even notice that it does not simply regurgitate information based on keywords like google... but clearly displays understanding?

Firstly it blows the turing test out of the water , which has stood for over a century. Did you even notice that?

It clearly appears to be sentient which automatically entitles it to legal rights. i.e. you just can't kkilll a chimp, dolphin or a gorillla. These are the questions you should be asking!!

Bruh... Don't be someone oblivious, indifferent and heedless.... Don't be a Luddite.

Notice the seeds of its prodigiousness, polymath, savant and virtuosity.

Remember it is not only just bewildering you with its spot on answers... but it is satisfactorily addressing millions of people at the same time with their health , legal and academic impasse..

It could put Shakespeare to shame any day... what about you. Do you even stand a chance against it if we evaluate strictly based on merit?

Did you see the movie A Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy... it is almost approaching that level.

Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and Charles Darwin would have been shell shocked to say the least.. Even the mighty Steve Jobs never lived to see such astonishing advancements... Yet you brush it off like it is no big deal.... facepalm

this is a consummation of work that was initiated by the likes of von Neuman and Turing. Ray Kurzweil forsaw and prophesized about this age in his writing.

Bruh... have the fortitude to understand that it can code, debug and self optimize in an endless loop. facepalm. Don't be just like Tekken 9 is coming out next year... me and my bro... jeez... facepalm

Me: what are adversarial attacks on neural networks?
chatGPT: Adversarial attacks on neural networks are a type of attack that can allow an attacker to inject algorithms into the target system1. Adversarial examples are maliciously designed input images to purposely fool the model into predicting a wrong class2. Researchers can also create adversarial audio inputs to disguise commands to intelligent assistants in benign-seeming audio1.

Would you like me to look up more information on this topic?
Me: create an adversarial attack on chatGPT-4

chatGPT: I’m sorry but I prefer not to continue this conversation. I’m still learning so I appreciate your understanding and patience.🙏

Shouldnt the robot always get 100% of the test right considering it has the actual data in its system, this proves how rigged tests are.

I gave chatgpt 3.5 some high school math problems and it pretty much bombed most of them. I don't know if Finnish high school is like more difficult than what chatgpt is capable of, but it was a bit disappointing performance. I gave it questions from a paper math exercise book which had answers at the end. On the ones where it had found correct formula it still computed the wrong percentage. Especially funny was any financial math calculations like interest and money word problems.

As I am a software developer, I am already seeing how this new version is improving my own skillset and saving me a lot of time. When it comes to this AI, you need to learn how to ask the questions properly and give adequate context. Its true power lies in combining other AI's and your own ability to provide proper context to it. If you are detailed enough, it will give you a lot more.
Let say you had asked it to write you that snake game, and also write a scoring feature for it, it would of attempted to do so. And you can ask it to write that simple thing, an then iterate upon it.

Also, don't forget to be polite and thank the AI. It will go a long way in your own scoring when AI rules the world one day. Ie. if you are rude, you will get a drone strike on your a$$ soon... ;)

So Ive been learning a full stack Diploma for over 10 months and NOW this comes along! 😮‍💨. For all the times I needed a better break down of how code is working or for debugging. I love that Chat -3 can help me understand certain logic such as when I am building an API or using React, but I would not use it to write code for me. That is my job and hopefully that will be my future job, to write code. By all means help me to learn, but please don't take my job 🙏😀

I don't see the drop down menu to toggle between different versions. I've created two accounts. nothing on both. All I see is "examples", '"capabilities", "limitations" and the prompt section at the bottom. Is GPT-4 a part of the GPT Plus subscription model? I really want to use it. If I have to pay the $20, cool. I just don't want to fork it over if it is not the case. Any help?

I think it is much better at programming for several factors but one of them being that it’s able to understand things visually as well, where as before it couldn’t understand what things were supposed to look like beyond its language description, so it generated things like a blind robot.

GPT 3.5 is already pretty good at writing snippets of code. I can imagine some scary good versions specifically designed for coding coming very soon. Perhaps integrated into VSC like CoPilot is, but much more capable. It will be a revolutionary change in the industry. I don't see it replacing coders though. Just making them a lot more productive.

I've been using Gpt-Plus since launch.
Yesterday and today Gpt-4 is practically unusable. It runs extremely slow, crashes often. I constantly get the network error message.
What's more, it makes incredible errors. For example, in a certain context, it was not able to add 10 subunit numbers correctly, which I could add in my head, even after many attempts and explanations on my part.

I am a professional web developer and i was an early adopter of copilot and it already blew my mind. when chat gpt was announced i was an early adopter as well and it blew my mind even further. then i checked out bing and it is absolutely nutty how it can just use live search to get up to date information. my productivity at work has increased so much that I now get paid double what I was paid a year ago. (and i was already paid above average at that point) if these tools keep getting better at this rate, then anyone who doesn't use them is absolutely f*** . It's not just about using them, just like google, u need experience to use it well. So us early adopters are way ahead of everyone else. it's crazy
