I’m a sophomore currently. My school has a history of bad events, such as a shootout from the 1980s or our last basketball coach who was arrested for raping a teenage girl. I swear school districts will do anything they can to protect their reputation. I’m not the smartest, but YOUR REPUTATION WILL BE DAMAGED WHEN EVERYONE KNOWS HOW IRRESPONSIBLE YOU ARE. Our families pay you to have us in your school, and when crap like this happens all you do is say, “oh, it’s not our fault that your kid is going through emotions.” It may not be your fault for how teenagers feel these days, but if our parents pay you to protect us kids, THEN DO THE JOB YOURE ELECTED TO DO. I’m no republican or democrat or whatever the news says, I just want the next two years and current year to be the best years I’ve had in school. Just so you know, I live in Southern California and I am flabbergasted to see the number of x’s in my area (I live in OC) and how oblivious I was this whole time. School shootings is one thing, lack of government and district control is unacceptable.

The map graphic is intense. I feel almost sick at just how many shootings there were when this came out, and the fact that the number is only growing is depressing to no end.

Edit: So apparently the high school i went to had a shooting not long back. Two injured, fortunately none killed. Hearing this song and seeing the map hits doubly hard now that such a thing happened so close in proximity.
