Grew up around icebergs. In my opinion your taking your boat a little too close for comfort to unstable bergs.Remember,90 percent of their mass is beneath the surface.Often spurs break off and float to the surface which could very easily capsize the boat.

I always wondered why the 1500 people on the Titanic who drowned didn’t swim over to the iceberg and sit on it while help came. Now I understand.

The calving event shown at #1 here occurred in Chile, South America - not in Greenland.

It’s crazy how there’s a final teeny tiny fraction of weight that melts away right before the moment an iceberg begins to roll and readjust.

That Dark 🌑 blue and black Iceland Glacier is covered in Volcanic Ash ...Imagine how hold that ash probably is trapped in that dark blue ice because that has been at the bottom of that glacier the oldest compact ice

And as all this ice rejoins the earths water, it will all eventually find it's way back in a couple of million years to this ice cap both north and south and start all over again. I often wonder what sort of organic material is entrapped as it makes it's way to the sea, like logs, animals, gold and what ever it grabbed on the way, but to be at the bottom where all the solids we see trapped in the ice and accumulates as it melts.

For the number one, due to a lack of continuity of the film, the greatness of the size of the iceberg was lost. Editing issue may be a cause of this loss of showing the significance.

This is so sad…. Look at what we’ve done. The ice sheets are melting faster and faster because of our actions causing global warming. This is not a natural occurrence, this is a devastation. We’re displacing millions of creatures that depend on their environment to survive… and here people are clapping and woo hooing out of ignorance and stupidity…. We are destroying the only planet we can survive on…. It makes me sick.
