I really want to get in touch with you. Please pray for me. I am suffering from the spirit of anxiety, delay and setbacks.

I remember that very early in my walk with the Lord I felt a need to pray for protection over my ears when driving with my husband in the car, him being not saved at the time (and still waiting on the Lord for his appointed time). I also found watching television pretty impossible. I tried in my own strength to not subject myself to "entertainment". Right after my baptism the Holy Spirit spoke very clearly to me with the words "Do not entertain yourself with unrighteousness". I understood very clearly and prayed very often for my hearing and vision to be sanctified. This was not too difficult for me to understand having studied art, and the Lord by His grace having made it so clear to me from the onset these points of entry. I was not always obedient in not watching movies or certain documentaries that are clearly agents of the kingdom of darkness, but the Lord continued to keep me. I found that the nearer I was to Him the lower ( to none) my appetite was for movies. I love long distance travel, and looked forward to the 2 or 3 movies I would be able to squeeze in the time, but now I spend the time in other ways. On a flight from San Franscisco to Zürich about two months back, my eye kept getting a squeeze of movies people were watching. The opening then was not so much that I myself watched something, but other things had transpired on the trip that the way of relating to the Lord was infiltrated by some level of pride. About a week after being back I was attacked demonically by being forced in my sleep to watch a movie(nothing scandalous but an action movie). It was not so much a dream but I was really set in the spiritual to watch a movie. this may seem like a light thing, but I really loved movies. I could escape in them for hours and they opened me up to observing culture, and were a channel for me to be a "cultural critic" ( curator "by occupation"). That would of course translate to real life where people become objects of observation and criticism, and not people created in the image of God, and ones whom our Lord and saviour died for. That spirit of criticism lay itself thick on/in me even after salvation where I was classing Christians, and fell into dangerous places within my walk. But thank God by His mercy and Grace, He kept me and instead used these experiences for eye-opening. I believe a work of deliverance is still needed in my life, but boy do I pray for the sanctifying of my mind daily because images are powerful, stories are powerful, music is powerful, and the enemy has the world in a chokehold through these.

I'm listening to this and something finaly clicked. I am someone that can't watch horror movies. It goes beyond being scared. My spirit feels so heavy afterwards. Like something is holding on to me and I have to shake it off before it pulled me down.

I was 19 when I got saved and for the next 10 years I didn’t listen to secular music. I had no idea why! I didn’t know that the Holy Spirit was leading me. I totally cut it out. And when I brought it back it negatively affected my mind. So I cut it out again. I am so thankful God led me in that way. We have to renew our mind. And that can only be done through the Word of God. We need more Word than world.

God strongly Impressed and then straight up told Me to stop listening and watching things That were not of him. And then I kept getting bible verses about your eyes, ears and mouth. I've noticed a huge difference I have cut out pretty much anything that isn't christian. In this world not of this world!

Guarding your ears and eyes is crucial. But vet what you see and hear. SO IMPORTANT. I was the opposite with going to Italy. God told me to go to Italy and try it. I was afraid. But the book and movie came to me after a year of getting the revelation. The trip allowed me to see and hear God—restore/strengthen my relationships

I love African movies, and whenever I see they going to d witch, doctor I mute the TV. I do not want to hear what they are saying.

Oooo myyyy! Just last night I took a whole turn talking to the guy I am courting. We were on the phone, and we were singing our theme song by "bob marley." All of a sudden, a line out of the song leads to a dance hall song. I woke up this morning feeling soooo bad, I wanted to write Epistle saying I am sorry about my behavior, even though it was entertaining to him. And I believe this was sent to me because the Lord really loves me. It is a reminder to me this morning. I am happy I see this!! And when you say you have a song, you like I can relate with you, mam. But I know sometimes it sent some feelings, and I have to go back to worship. I LOVE MUSIC!!

I had a similar dream where my nephew was playing secular music in the house while I was asleep. I could see demons coming out of the speakers and running towards me to attack me, then I woke up. That was the day I realised that secular music is really demonic 😢
