When I look at the circular structures they look to me like... CUBICLES...

Not to say there were Neolithic cubicle farms (hey, who knows?) But maybe this was some
sort of a manufacturing area?

That site proves that the perimetral columns at Göbekli Tepe were columns. As I have proposed, the roof was probably made of wool, in the fashion of northafrican jaimas.

It suddenly clicked as I read some of the sensible comments. Just as the animals in Africa move from area to area to maximise their food intake with various seasons, early man would have developed the same pattern, moving from season to season where food was available. But being intelligent and observant they realised that by gathering they also spread the seeds of the plants for the coming season. Seasonal migrations over Millenia became established until the realisation emerged that they could control the growth of ' grass/ edibles' and there you have it. Shame, Mr Hancock .

If we, as perusers of ancient human development continue to cling to the common paradigm of human development ' segments', such as hunters/ gatherers. The discovery in Turkey of these so-called pre settlements demonstrate we NEED to review our segments as the people who created the various tepes, were clearly far more developed than simple hunter/ gatherers. Time to rethink who they were, what they did and more importantly, why they settled there and not from where they came.

I agree. Every time we find the next oldest one we know there is going to be an older one. GobekleTepe and that bunch just show that there are a lot of OLDER PLACES, and that’s going to continue.

We are just starting to find sites older than the flood. I believe if we keep looking we are gonna find things that are just gonna blow our minds. We will learn that this time around humans aren't as smart as what we used to be before the tragedy that threw us back into being primitive.

I'm more inclined to believe this site is not a precursor, but rather a reflection of the loss of skills and knowledge, a successor site! After all, these sites are after the Younger Dryas apocalyptic events and the sea level rise of 100 meters? would presumably have drowned the most likely sites of human habitation... and is most likely the source of so many "great" flood stories?

As I am watching this I am reminded of the Moscow bowl. The pictures of dogs on the stone are like those in the bowl and are depicting a specific breed. The dogs are Basenjis. Being a Basenji owner I have seen depictions of these dogs from truly ancient art all the way to ancient Egypt. They have one peculiar distinguishing trait, a curly tail! It is well known that they were used to hunt. It means nothing but as a Basenji keeper I am truly amazed at the length of time that humans and Basenjis have worked together.

just think, if people were using stone and wood back then, assuming there was NO reset and people grew from one spot out and not 6 or 7 at once, the buildings we make now is as far as we have made it. Architecturally speaking that is kinda pathetic. look at the advance of TV in the last 100 years.
If you look at COLOGNE CATHEDRAL alone, what happen??? why did we go from buildings so amazingly beautiful you want to cry to the garbage brutality you see in the skyline of every major city around the world. there is a major piece missing from that line of sight. even rich people that want to leave a major mark on the world can not find or steal enough money to make anything that is closer to beauty than brutality. and we rip buildings like that down every day in the name of progress. It makes me sick!!!

Hi Matt. Regarding the filling of all of these sites, is there an explanation on why did they do that?
I ask, because my guess is that these big oval structures were used for ritual gatherings to mark the start or end of a season. So in the end, when the structure no longer aligned with the stars, or sun, or maybe climate was no longer ok for agriculture in the area, they would fill it in and build a new one in a new location maybe?
Edit: and maybe, since everything in the sky is cyclical, they burried the sites because they wanted to perserve them for future use?

Epic stuff, almost on a par with the James Webb Telescope. I am confused about this line: “Through the Younger Dryas, people were migrating from the Levant up into southeastern Anatolia.”
Am I misreading this? It sounds like people are migrating from the lower, warmer Levant in the west and up into the higher, colder Anatolia to the east, when the climate is becoming colder due to the Younger Dryas. I would have thought they would be migrating from the colder interior in the east.

It’s not a transition from hunter gatherer to agriculturalist it’s an addition of some farmed vegetables to their meat and alcohol diet. Whites have never given up meat eating as a race and gone over to a plant based diet. Sure some white people try vegetarian diets but they are not known for it and prefer their meat and alcohol to this day. God was always caring for the newly created race to wean themselves off of meat eating but they haven’t been successful in that transition yet. The Cane and Able story applies to this situation where God is steering the newly created white race to wean themselves from hunter gathers into growing plants for their sustenance. Of course the meat eating white culture likes to twist the Cane and Able story to think God is sanctioning meat eating over the vegetable offering. Eating meat is a sin. Drinking alcoholic beverages is a sin.

Why haven’t you mentioned all of the gravels and sediment that is down on the bottom before they started to fill it? It seems that some sort of Kataklysm started and they buried the rest of the sites and the dates are not coming back at 10,000 years but 12 to 14,000 years. now especially after some of the wooden artifacts were found recently and dated and their dates are much more accurate than the guesswork that is used for dating rock .While trying to shoehorn this into your original paradigm it is not working those of us in the field know what you’re doing .and we will be showing it to the public one way or another.

Round buildings made of Mammoth bones, made of wood, made of stone. They always adapted the same basic idea to the materials they had. There's cultural continuity, throughout eastern Europe, western and northwestern Asia, going back way further than the Younger Dryas.

Cakmaktepe maybe is the most important of them all. It shows undeniable proof of a large, all wooden house. It proves that rather advanced use of wood as a construction material was real. The oldest of its kind. In this site, they build the house directly to the cleaned and leveled bedrock. The amount of work needed to dig the pole holes into the bedrock is relatively high. Nobody does that without having a plan, without knowing that the house will actually be usable. There must have been similar, wooden houses before, build on soil instead of bedrock, but following the same overall layout. Thousands, maybe tens of thousands of years before.

Anyone caught on that the archeologists want to match up human history with the biblical timeline?

And have been doing this for centuries?

No one wants to believe man exists in any intelligent form before 6000 years ago, even with mounting proof.

They ignore or dismiss anything that may predate their narrative.

Sounds like WEF "human created climate change" narrative that the current WEF bought MSM is spewing.

Curious that DNA show people from this area are most closely related to the Egyptian pharaohs than the current modern population of Egypt.
