I'm so sorry, Im late to this video. Having had to put 2 heart and soul dogs, its absolutely hard, BUT please understand something I hope helps.

It will take time, and it's okay to allow yourself as much time as you need, understand that they trust us to help them with I really do believe they know we can help them, my last one absolutely looked at me and said are you going to help me home. I need you to do something. He lived a long and happy healthy life I take comfort in knowing he was a Very Lucky dog.
No one will ever help us like that we could be running naked in the street crazy out of our minds, and no one will help us go peacefully in our sleep.

My heart goes out to you, I feel your heart and pain. I pray you peace and comfort.
My Mother had a near Death experience and said she saw not just family but all the dogs she had ever known, including the one I was talking about. I've heard something like that and even others in my family, so, I truly believe we absolutely will see them again, this is not goodbye, this is Until Next Time.

But you are absolutely correct, I rescued a blue noise American Pitbull, my brother has her, and she's nothing but the definition of LOVE. She has helped my brother through some hard times it's only by strange luck he has her, but I'm glad it worked out the way it has, because while she healing hearts she was rescuing my Brother too.
Just a big bunch of snuggles and family loving, loves kids and is cautious of adult strangers, but she avoids but keeps an eye out until you introduce them and her, and shes all sunshine.
It will be very hard when that day comes, but it's again important to understand we are entrusted with that gifted responsibility and love, this isn't good bye, but until we meet again.

Again I'll be praying that as time continues you will feel peace. ❤

I'm so very sorry, guys. I've been there so many times, and it does not get easier. I cry for weeks after each pet we've had to let go, but knowing they had the best life is something that helps me in the grieving process. She had the best life with y'all, and I'm hoping that does bring you some peace. Grieve as long as you need to...there is no timeline whether a pet or a human loved one. Pets are family, period, as you have shown in your love for your furbabies.

My dog Shrek, died 21/2 years ago at 14 years old. I only made it 4 days before I went to the pound to rescue a Pitt mix. Dogs are family, so you can’t replace them, but having another dog to love got me through it. We’ve since rescued a Pitt. Those two dogs are the most loving & sweet dogs. Yes, we still miss Shrek every day, but we tell our two dogs about their “brother.” I’m so sorry for your loss.

I made the same decision 2 years ago to spare my 16 year old poodle the agony of a painful death, and it was among the most devastating times of my life. I still feel the pain, even though we have a new puppy and have gone on with our lives. There will never be a replacement for our dear Bella and she will always have a big spot in my heart. So I know of what you are feeling and I also know that you will get through it, but not without much sadness. Please know that you are not alone. P.S. I sat next to you guys at lunch a few weeks go in Nashville.

Lost our pit boxer mix to a sarcoma in ‘21. The vet wanted to do surgery but I refused. They will almost always hemorrhage on the table. She lived about 3-4 weeks after diagnosis. we fed her small bits of raw meat because she lost her desire to eat anything else. She passed peacefully. Older dogs do not do well with surgery so IMO, You made the most loving caring decision. They suffer too much with even small surgeries as they age.
We hurt because we love them SO much. Dogs provide much needed love, normalcy, & companionship… in a crazy chaotic world that is changing so rapidly
BTW, We have 2-3 dogs at all times

I know it is hard to lose a furry baby I have lost 4 dogs over the years. Now our 5th dog just turned 10 years old 2 days ago. May Sierra RIP. Now she is running around in Heaven having fun.

You truly must be great people to have loved your dogs so much. We also were dog trainers and in our building we had a poster that read The Only Thing Bad About A Dog Is They Don’t Live Long Enough.
We have lost dogs also and it is one of the hardest things that you can go through.

Sorry for your loss. She may have been a dog, but she was a family member. I had 2 dachshunds for 16 years. Had to put them down 2 years apart. Worse thing I have had to do 2 times. Went 2 years without a dog, and something was missing. We just rescued a puppy 5 months ago. He filled that void. They are definitely a part of the family.

I lost my girl in December 23. Her name was Izzy short for Izabella ( my son named her). MJ she was a Pit and same thing happened to me. I saw her picture and said she is speaking to me. She was a stray, emaciated, had just recently had a litter, brindle in color and you could count every rib. Also she had the same cancer, other tumors and bleeding issues. Was the hardest thing I had to do. MJ, Izzy sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Sierra. We've lost two dogs, Yamper & Clutch, to that cancer in two years. Yamper bled out. We didn't know she had that cancer until the autopsy. Clutch was diagnosed via ultrasound. We put him down prior to any tumor rupture, but he was failing so quickly we knew it was time. It makes me wonder why so many dogs are dying from this cancer.

I'm so sad for you guys. I had a pitbull/American bulldog mix who was my soul mate like you said. We rescued her 7 yrs before having to put her to sleep, due to a cancerous tumor on her spine. But we had rescued her from a ditch, where she was half dead to a staff infection. She knew we saved her too. Every time she looked me in the eyes, she said thank you. It was my joy and honor to have her in my life! So I grieve with y'all, knowing how heartbroken you are. Sending lots of hugs and prayers your way, Tammy

MJ and Izzy we are so deeply sorry for your loss, Sierra looked so happy with you. She was so blessed to have you as her parents. We could have written your story with our beloved Golden Retriever,Shelby. Shelby had a softball sized tumor on her spleen although it was non cancerous. 3 months After her diagnosis we decided to do the surgery after being told she was a great candidate because it was not cancer. After much thought and many Prayers we decided to have the surgery. Shelby did great and she was making progress... until she became suddenly ill on the 3rd day after surgery. We rushed her to an emergency pet hospital @ midnight.Doctors discovered she had a blood clot and her organs were already shutting down by the time we arrived. Each report was worse than the previous as the night wore on. Ultimately we too had to put our beloved girl to sleep. It's been 9 months since this happened. She was light of our lives as Sierra was for you. We understand how you are feeling. Sending you much love and hugs and Prayers for your hearts ♥️ to heal. ❤️‍🩹
