Lock box at night?? What the poop. Carry around all day but put in lock box at night? Because nobody will break in while your sleeping right? Lol stupid.

Carry a gun while inside the house and lock them up during asleep? That’s a dumb idea, break in happens when you’re asleep at night!

Putting it in an appliance is not hiding it. ITS ONLY PLACING IT OUT OF SIGHT.
PLACING IT IN A HIDDEN WALL PANEL INSIDE A CLOSET IS HIDING IT.

I recently retired from the Post Office. One guy on my route would come to the door for packages, strapped. Kinda threw me the first time I saw it. Turned out to be a really nice guy and I never made a comment on him carrying, just thought it was pretty cool. He lived in a neighborhood that wasn't the best, on a very busy road. Respect.

Put your gun in your lock box before going to bed??! Great! So if you need it during the night you have to locate the lock box (in the dark) and hope yoy can open it (in the dark) before the bad guy finds you! No thanks!

If you live alone with no kids at home, there is no reason you cannot have one, two, or even three guns staged around your home. I don't go outside much, and I don't want to carry on my hip in my home, sorry, not happening...but I have a few concealed very near my office, living room, and bedroom so I am always close at hand. Simple as that. I am not paranoid either but I really don't feel the need to carry on my hip at home. Yes, some of you are paranoid or need to move to better neighborhoods. Yes, crap can happen anywhere, but statistically I doubt it is very often or get out of the big cities and ghetto areas!

Unless I'm actively working on a project, I'm either in my underwear or pajama's 90% of the time I'm at home, well, because I'm at home and I'm going to get comfortable. Keeping a gun on me isn't feasible, and I'm not going to wear day clothes while I lounge around the house just to carry my pistol. Stashing firearms securely around the house does not make one an irresposible firearm owner, its quite the opposite, actually.

I'd have to get a gun first to stage one around the house. 😅

This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Always carrying your gun while in the house is just nuts.

I understand the messaging of the video from a law perspective and safety perspective as well, but I grew up in a house that had firearms in every room, and no one every hurt themselves or even messed with the guns so it's responsibility on the parent to teach children not to play with the guns in the first place. Also, like one commenter said all non-home defense weapons should be stored in a safe location, but the gentlemen in the video acknowledged showering then putting your firearm on, I am not sure if the firearm was still locked up at this point but I feel most vulnerable when I am in the shower so damn right I have my gun right on the toilet just in case, and that Sheriff was an idiot why would you put a firearm in the oven.

Gun in a lock box doesn't. Are it accessible when a thug comes for YOU instead of your stuff. If they come at night, they know you're home, they're there for YOU. You really want to waste precious seconds on a lock box?

I do not lock my gun up when I sleep at night, I keep in in the holster on my nightstand. I live alone, and it would take way too much time to go to the lock box, unlock it, pull the gun out and have it ready if someone broke in. I don't play with fire, that is a "recipe for disaster"

Lock up your gun when you go to sleep? Not happening - odds of waking and getting that gun out of that lock box in time are not in your favor if someone enters your home while you are sleeping.

Nothing wrong with staging guns, just have to be smart about it. And no way I'm walking around the house with my long guns strapped to me 🤣No lockbox or holster at night either...just a naked gun within arms reach ready to put into action if needed.

But when you go to sleep and you put your gun in a locked safe, you are way more than three seconds away from it, and on top of that unconscious.. any advise on that…

I carry even in my sleep. I choose a 1911 with a very retention-heavy holster, because 1911's have multiple safeties and are less prone to NDs.

Bro my carry gun is on my person but when I go to work I have to hide it in my apartment bc we don't all live in places like you buddy it's called the hood and I've been broken into 3 times once was the maintenance man and a neighbor who stole everything I owed they saw that looked re sellable aka all electronics clothes dvds etc. Sooo you don't help anyone. It makes perfect sense to have your firearm by your side throughout the day. So why does it not make sense when your sleeping (a time when you are most vulnerable)?. I understand both sides of the fence.. If you have children over, then people are worried about kids getting a hold of guns. Lock your lockbox under your bed with a special lock/combo and MOST IMPORTANTLY... RAISE THEM to understand that guns are TOOLS to be used for protection NOT for play. I have heard to many incidents of peoples homes being broken into in the middle of the night by criminals. These people have EVERY RIGHT to defend themselves and their loved ones.

That’s a great idea but what happens if somebody breaks in your house at night you have to unlock your gun. Why not just keep your gun on your nightstand unlocked and ready to use. In the state of New Jersey you are not allowed to Carry a gun

Ok here is everything you need to know if somebody breaks into your house he is right about putting the gun on your hip but most people don't understand if your downstairs and they broke in upstairs hide behind a wall and then come out and shoot and keep hiding if they came into your room then that's stupid because you wont have any time to go into your gun safe this is what you really do

2. Put Bottles on your front door stack battles side to side outside every window so if they break in they will make a terrible noise to alert you if they even attempt to get close to your window
