I really like this demonstration and the type of tube shown with an angle near the stoma instead of a tube coming straight out which patients try to tuck the end in their waistband or bra with enough tension on the stoma to cause the stoma to become elongated which starts the acid leakage as well as the damaged skin. I have talked with patients and caregivers for many years about finding a way to secure the tube without causing stress to the stoma. I am very glad this video is showing the need to secure the tube. Just the weight of the tube is enough to cause the stoma to become egg shaped. We all eventually find out that a round tube does not fit snuggly in an egg shaped hole. I wish the US would place more tubes like the one shown here. Nice job on the video!!!
