Excel Hidden Shortcut to Select Data Column including Blanks

Click the column header, this selects the whole column, then Control-Shift-Up arrow. Done

you can improve this further by selecting the whole row. insteat of selelcting b1:b10000 you use b:b. This has the advantage to be shorter and you don't have to think which low end cell you have to select to get last number.

Ctrl space then ctrl shift up

@Leila, for selection of entire column. (Ctrl + spacebar) is also a shortcut key for selecting an entire range of column including blank cell as well.

What is the shortcut for selecting a single column while some cells are merged?

Leila, don't you have any video on how to copy and paste only visible cells on Office 365. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does and I also need to know let us say I have 10,000 records and after a few filters, there are around 300 values which I have to delete one by one. It takes a lot of time when I delete them individually as I don't want to mess up my such a big file of 10,000 records. I don't want that it deletes some values which should not be deleted. Thanks

Hi, I have found that if the data is in the form of a table, that simple Ctrl-Shift works.

Press Ctrl+ space and than up arrow will also work

I accomplish this daily by simply pressing and holding Ctrl+shift+down until it hits the final row. Then I move my finger from down to up. Mission accomplished!

Crtl+Space then Ctrl+Shift+Up works for me.😃

Before naming the range, select data with blanks using below shortcut:
CTRL + Space bar to select the column and then
CTRL + Shift + Up arrow key

Ctrl+space ===then==>> Ctrl+shift+up

I don't get why you wouldn't just use Ctrl+Space Bar. If you're highlighting beyond your data set, then why not just do the whole column?

from the first cell in the column use ctrl+shift+end which selects the entire data set then release the ctrl key and use the right/left arrows to select the column desired independent of spaces

Hello M’am - The shortcut followed by me is
Step 1: CTRL+END then HOME: cursor moves to the last row of the first column (A),
Step 2: Navigate to target column (mouse or arrow keys) (say col D or S)
Step 3: In cell address type "col&1" (say D1 or S1),
Step 4: then SHIFT+ENTER

Just click CTRL+SPACE and then CTRL+SHIFT+UP

I have forgotten it and I am not sure if it exists in new versions. Here it is: . I have split my sheet into 4 parts. Let say my cursor is in part one. I know f6 will cycle through the four parts and menu bar. But what if I am in middle of part one and I want to move to top of that part. I think there was a shortcut for it.
