this gifted me one of the most memorable characters in games, Arthur morgan ,but , yes , Rockstar gameplay mechanisms hasn't changed much since GTA san andreas lol, But , the game as a whole including that epilogue was just riveting imo.
ОтветитьYou can tell the cope over console being better then PC is real with this one.
ОтветитьNothing is perfect but red dead 2 is a masterpiece.
Ответить... but this one is.
ОтветитьSo many brain dead fan boys came to defend this it’s wild. The game has a ton of issues
Ответитьim biased towards rdr2 but i have managed to get through the entire game without any issues and i love the animations, yes i know they are lengthy but i just happen to like ALOT of immersion, its why i like games such as escape from tarkov squad and rdr2. good review though
ОтветитьMost complaints about immersion sounds like they come from monkey brains.
I played this game sleeping most of the nights, camping, drinking coffee every morning while enjoying the landscape, eat meals etc. but the way monkey brains talk, it's like they do this shit more than me somehow?
I never had any problems about my health, I don't remember cleaning my guns that much, I don't remember my horse dying all the time, I never had any problems with honor, I never felt the looting animations became boring.
I don't get bored of looting because I don't loot every single corpse since there isn't much they can offer unless I am in need for health items etc.
I don't get bored of skinning animals because I don't kill every single animal I have in front of me.
I don't have to open up my inventory and eat something every 5 minutes because well, I simply don't have to?
I don't understand people just going on rampage in RDR2. This is not GTA, if you want GTA, play GTA? If you want rampage, they provide you with more variety and require you to use your brain to get out of situations.
Why is immersion a bad thing just because you don't enjoy it? Yeah, stuff like this is not for everyone just like fast-paced stuff is not for everyone.
Yeah, not everyone can get used to the controls but that doesn't mean the controls are bad.
Nothing is perfect, for everyone. It's the perfect game for me for the things you listed as "bad." And GTA V is not perfect for me, because of it's nature. But I am able to understand what it's trying to do and enjoy it regardless as it is, without seeking immersion.
Immersion is not bad, it's just that your fast paced monkey brain doesn't like it.
Trying to 100% the game is all the worst parts of the game for 20 hours
ОтветитьI know it’s frustrating when you automatically get assigned weapons during a ride, but I later on realised it was a game mechanic. Rather than selecting your weapons while you’re riding, you should just do that when you dismount from your horse. I think it was designed that Arthur puts the weapons back in the saddle, rather than on himself. Works 100% of the time when he’s on foot.
I watched the emitters video before commenting so now I’ve forgotten what else I wanted to clear out so…
Yikes, saying you can’t recommend this game is literally one of the worst/most delusional takes I have ever seen/heard in my life
ОтветитьI like Whitelight very much and i know that his bread and butter are the critiques of any and all games but if Rockstar ever sees this, i would like them to know that the slow paced, ultra realistic take on doing things in Red Dead Redemption 2 was heaven for me.
This masterpiece of a game had everything done perfectly right, story, gameplay, pacing and everything else in between.
Thank you Rockstar and never ever change your quality and attention to detail.
It’s no secret Rockstar Games are the most restrictive games around. Outside of “free roam” if you’re in a story or side mission it is comically easy to fail said mission for the dumbest reasons.
ОтветитьThe aussie group Viva La Dirt League did the best parody of RDR2. Im gonna go watch it again and you should too
Ответить😂Let's be honest, we all get excited and run through the gunfire when machete/melee guy pops out.
ОтветитьI uninstalled RDR2 at around 50% done. It just didn't work for me. I found the gameplay and action is boring, the quests in general are repetitive and uninteresting, the openworld is beautiful but exploring is almost useless. It is a sandbox game in essence, so you can do a LOT of things, but it all get tiring after you do it a few times and I end up wondering why am I even doing it for? The storytelling is lacking a bit, even if the story itself is good.
The game is too realistic, but that is a problem because real life is boring.
Do you have assassin's creed odyssey review too?
it will help so much
Graphics and animations: 10/10
Story and characters: 10/10
Living, breathing open world: 10/10
Mission structure: 5/10
Freedom to change the narrative: 0/10
Overall: 7/10
Just started playing this on PC. Controls are a nightmare. Not sure I can stick it out. A huge TAB wheel opens every time you change weapons. Lame. Dis-immersive. The game is over 100gig. Far Cry 2 was 3gig. Far Cry 2 smokes the hell out of this game.
ОтветитьI hate searching for items in the game. Why do I have to hold the button to open and take stuff. It’s frustrating.
ОтветитьSkill issue 🤷♂️
ОтветитьPeople expecting them to program every reaction, villain, the entire wild west, and full real life interaction for $60 🤣 y'all are straight stupid
ОтветитьMen have provided the things that are most helpful because of masculinity???? I feel like that's a pretty naive point of view.
ОтветитьMy poor horse was got killt because I didn't do the animations properly. Also, every time I hopped off the horse, I literally didn't know what guns I had on me. The big ones would just in and out of the saddlebags on a whim it seems. Also...in the tutorial, I waited like 5 minutes for the train to show up for the heist. It didn't. My horse was 2 feet too far to the left to trigger it. Super real life. Nailed it.
Ответитьi like that rdr 2 is basically a western sandbox game with a 10/10 story added ontop
ОтветитьNatives' missions are slow, because they're not only important to Arthur's development, they're also a break from the rapid descent of the gang and the chaotic last days. That's why they're slow paced
ОтветитьI don't get the criticism of controls. I legitematly don't. Combat is intuitive and sharp and movement is easily understandable.
And the circle deflating is also intuitive and makes you decide between accuracy and speed. It's not rocket science
This review is the pinnacle of "I either don't understand it at all or read too much into it and I have an opinion".
For example, the random events. You just need to be quick in your decision making. You let somebody be killed - bad honor, instead of helping a tied up woman, you loot a dead body in front of her - bad honor, if you shoot a horse instead of USING A LASSO - you get bad fucking honor. Simple as that.
In regards of "If you want to have high honor, you can't kill random people and I don't like that."... I nearly burst out laughing, it's incredible that whoever edited this video didn't hear this and notice how stupid that sounds. RDR2 is an RPG, you play a role and you play that role not whenever you feel like it, but all the time. So yes, when you decide to play as a honorable antihero, you don't kill random people. You choose Arthur's personality and you're encouraged to stick to it. It's not rocket science
bruh some of these "problems" are personal opinion, knowing that everyting was going to be okay was what made arthurs arc so great
ОтветитьI know alot of people that found it uninteresting and a boring story and unenjoyable gameplay. I agree with them
ОтветитьThis game clearly wants to punish a certain kind of player.
ОтветитьIt has the most stupefying and beautiful open world I've ever seen, but Rockstar's imposition of rigid control on quest parameters feels more out of place than ever.
ОтветитьThe slow pacing of some missions in Act III is a valid critique, but at the same time, it makes a lot of sense in the context of Arthur's character arc. By that time, Arthur is disillusioned with Dutch and he knows he's dying so he's trying to find some meaning in his life by helping other people. He starts helping Native Americans, the sister, the random people he meets and even the son of the guy from whom he got TB. These slow missions make a lot of sense from the narrative point of view. They also serve as nice breaks from massive shooting galleries that happen all the time in Act III.
ОтветитьOne of the ways I over came a lot of these issues is to look at rdr 2 as if it’s more of an interactive “movie”. It’s not a movie in the traditional sense, but has a lot of railed sections like a movie with the story. It has a lot of “gameplay” elements of a video game, but sometimes the narrative changes the mindset you have with pure gameplay. So it’s a video game, but through a movie lens
You know how a scene ends and you get a big pan over the vista of a big country in a movie? That is when Arthur is out and about doing the free roam things. And the story missions pull you back into the scene of the railed movie. That’s rdr2, to me at least
That opens an issue with spending so much money for a rail road experience that just has different tracks that ultimately lead to the same place. But I guess that’s up to smarter people than me
I have to agree with you. The honor and bounty system, ruin the Rock Star gameplay we love. Let’s hope GTA 6 allows us to go crazy. Realism should be left for the RDR series.
ОтветитьMan, your critiques about this game is just all cherry pick about things that very minor
Ответить“🥷🏾 don’t wanna be cowboys they wanna be 🥷🏾” -my dad on why rdo died vs gta online
ОтветитьGetting arrested in RDR2 is also a reset for the region. So really there's no argument there.
ОтветитьThe reason you got low honor for shooting the guy about to kill a girl is because you used high velocity and it went through the guy then killed the girl to
ОтветитьJust because you dont like it does not mean its a fault, i get its not perfect but the reasons for that are not listed here
ОтветитьGameplay: 7/10
Story: 9.8/10
Graphics: 9/10
Audio: 8/10
Characters: 10/10
Scenery/set pieces in game: 9/10
Amount of content: 10/10
Online: 3/10
You truly are one of the best critiques in gaming media, if not the best. What a video.
ОтветитьWhere did the masculinity rant come from ????
ОтветитьExpress is better than High Velocity because all long ranged guns can be used within the distance that entities are rendered and the piercing effect from High Velocity is very rarely going to do much for you causing the more damage from Express ammo to perform way more effectively.
