It's one of the most important concepts in my field, above all in electroacoustic analogies for systems as: microphones, loudspeakers, etc.

I do civil/structural work but I think a video on thrust/propulsion would be awesome and good compliment to your current aerospace vids.

These are all the same quantities for electrical systems, such as phase, frequency Inductance(mass and Capacitance (Spring Constant)and Impedance(Impedance/resistance). Resonant frequency has 2 signals 180 degrees out of phase

People complaining about how bad their courses and lectures were are funny. This information is covered in about 5 pages of an intro physics textbook, which can be read for the first time in about an hour. If you spent months to learn it that's on you.

Damping can be suppressed by countervailing forces but can't they also be split similar to acoustic systems like speakers or how the Sydney opera house was designed to dampen acoustic resonance across the entire sonic band? I'm not an engineer but like to make things and tuning systems seems to always be similar to how musical tuning of acoustics works.

Standing waves for instance would be undesirable or even disastrous but can be remedied in acoustics by preventing standing waves or destroying them with an acoustic chamber that has a naturally reductive harmony like phi.

One area that is commonly overlooked is how fluid flowing in pipes creates vibration waves that travel the long axis and create standing waves of much greater energy than the flow itself. Outside of high pressure gas being vented the majority of the noise in a process plant comes from this effect. Bearings with defects cause a massive amount of noise because the vibration is transmitted to the piping.
About a month ago one of my multi stage pumps motor bearing failed and started a harmonic in the suction spool that fatigue cracked a vent nipple. I had to do an emergency shutdown before it caught fire. The motor is mounted on a fully grouted plate on concrete. You could feel the ground vibrating 20 feet away
