That guy casting ends up on one leg. Not a great technique.

This an absolute finger saver but i dont think it will affect the casting distance for an experienced angler.

The only con in my opinion is when the trigger fail it will definitely break your rod with the casting force.

i use electrical tape and aluminum foil tape

haha awesome to see you using this Mark. really helps with the casting doesn't it especially wen u surfcast full time. a good tip for the cable tie is to melt the cut ends off with a lighter to soften the sharp tips
