When my machine won't work anymore with Microsoft, I wipe the drive and load Linux. Thanks.

Disable TPM 2.0, and your computer will never be compatible

Kinda upsetting you didn’t notify people there was a way to install it easily while bypassing the fake requirements. It’s super easy to install windows 11 on “unsupported” computers. All you have to do is make your USB drive with Rufus instead of the media creation tool. The requirements are fake and windows 11 will run on anything windows 10 will run on.

For Windows 11 I think 16gb of ram is what needed. If your PC don't have a nvme with with 4gb of ram it would run really slow.

The most affected are people who bought expensive high-end hardware from 2016/2017. Windows 10 security support ends in oct 2025. So all my 3 PCs from 2016 (i5-6400) and 2017 (i5-7600K, i5-7500) will become officially useless and unsellable. That's so stupid!!!! The only official solution I know is to install another OS for example Chrome OS Flex or Linux on it... But those OS maybe not great for the expensive graphic cards inside. I am the most angry about the depreciation (huge lost of €-value) of the harware because of the future minimum requirements.

it says the processor isn't currently supported for windows 11 and it's intel core i7-7700HQ 2.8GHz so why is that?

I really appreciate the video, I would love to see you explained on it by touching on what laptop you can recommended in a Top 5-10 (each 5) of older compatible laptops in addition to newer laptops you build in?

Because of the system requirements for Win 11 I most likely will be switching from using Windows as my everyday OS. I think that Microsoft is a disgrace of a company to me. They are not only disrespectful but a complete failure of a company. Microsoft thanks but no thanks I will just pass on using Windows 11.

Just wait. Right before the official release there will be fire sale on new computers at ridiculously low prices. Computers that can't run Windows 11. User are going to buy those computers only to find out that Win11 won't run on their new computers. Sellers are going to state after the sale, "we never said it would." It is going to be a real mess trying to figure out which computers will and which won't unless there is some certification statement. I have three computers running Windows 10. One I built in 2010 is the oldest. Using the WhyNotWin11 app, which explains exactly Why Not, only one computer out of the three is Windows 11 compatible.

If I am going to buy a new computer I want a certificate that states it will run Windows 11 from the seller. I have an interest in a new micro PC, however, it has the 7th Gen i5 7200U processor. Before I buy I want to know I can upgrade it to Windows 11.

Are they still requiring Gen 8 or higher processors? Last they said, my 2 year old gen 7 wouldn't be compatible. If they want to make my 2 year old computer unsupported for no reason other than being gen 7, then it'll be the last Windows computer I ever purchase. I've been a user since Win 3.1, but I spent to much on this computer the get thrown under the bus so quickly.

I have got a HP ENVY 13:

- Intel Core i5-6200U @2.3 ghz, Turbo 2.4 ghz (dual core processor)
- 8GB RAM
- 256GB SSD
- Windows 10 HOME (64 bit), x64 compatible
- 13.3" OLED (3200 x 1800) (1800p)
- Direct X 12

Security:
Secure-Boot enabled
TPM: 2.0
WDDM: 2.1

Still I won't be able to get a Windows 11 upgrade because my computer is 6th gen whereas a $200 HP laptop with a Celeron processor will get one. Nonsense!

They mentioned performance, but did not require that the C drive is a solid state. We know the 100% disk usage windows have. I doubt they solved it. And I'm confused why they did not mention the intel gen which should should be i8+. Did they change their minds?

I have a Dell purchased new in 2015 with Windows 8 that I updated to Windows 10 when it was a free update. There's nothing in Windows 11 that I really need and I'll wait to see if Windows Update even offers Windows 11 to me before I bother updating the computer.
