I record my DJ-videos (give it a check, I wear a fancy Anubis mask!) with my Sigma 24-70. And yes, I own both the Mk1 (on my Lumix S5) and Mk2 (on my A7C2). Awesome value and results!
ОтветитьFabulous. Really well explained. This Lens was part of my first DSLR bundle, I'm off to practice now!
ОтветитьThank you for this video. It was explained so well and clear. I needed this video like fish need water.
Ответитьif you don't mind the size, the 35-150mm paired with a 16-35mm for wider shots is superior. f/2.0 at 35mm, then gradual transition to f/2.2, f/2.5... f/2.8 doesn't start until around 80mm.
ОтветитьExcellent advice
ОтветитьThank you for charing your knowledge, very inspiring. I got the Tamron 24-70 G2 with Nikon camera very nice.
ОтветитьUse it like a prime - this is the bees knees. Took me nearly 10 years of pointing and shooting to realise that there is 3 or 4 prime lenses hidden inside of this one
ОтветитьI definitely need one, but haven’t decided between Sigma and Sony
ОтветитьMy shoot carry is Sigma 35 & 85 1.4 and Sigma 24-70. As a portrait shooter, I still prefer primes whenever I can use them, but take a zoom for those difficult weather situations and video. Optionally, I do have the Sony 16-25 zoom for cityscape, creative ultra wide portraits, and video.
ОтветитьFor nearly all of my paid shoots now, I just use my Z24-70 2.8S lens. It is one of the best 24-70 lenses out there. Except for only being a 2.8, all the images are equally as sharp and crisp as my primes. For so many of my shoots in the past, I always had a second camera on my Black Rapid shoulder strap, with a prime (usually a fast 35mm or a fast 50mm). However, invariably for over 90% of the final submission to clients, they are usually taken on the zoom. I have a couple of gigs coming up shortly, and I'm just going to take the one camera with the zoom (of course, backups in my bag). However, I live in Perth Western Australia, so perhaps with our ideal climate here, it's different if you come from colder, darker places. Most of my shoots are during the day, usually always sunny and blue skies here. I always shoot with outdoor fill-flash, so it suits me better with the one body having my flash. Trying to cart around two bodies with flashes is a bit harder - hence, my leaning toward just using the 24-70. However, I do like what you say about using it as a prime - choose the focal length. I have been doing that more and more lately. Of course for all my travel and personal stuff, I love my primes.
ОтветитьStill debating about zoom vs prime😊 ad infinitum 😅
ОтветитьJust bought the Sony 24-70 f/2.8 GM II on Friday.. boy is it sharp. I would have to say the sharpest lens I have ever had. Thank you for the informative video!
ОтветитьWhat about 70-200?
ОтветитьI have the sigma 24-70mm DG DN ii. Love this lens. It is the do all lens. Awesome video. But I always take primes 40mm and 85, along with 70-200 :) Subscribed
ОтветитьThanks for this video, and all the great videos from you and Mark.
The 24-70 2.8 GM II was the first lens I bought when I upgraded to mirrorless (A7R5). It is expensive, but the results are beautiful. If anyone is on the fence about buying it, go ahead and get it.
For Nikon Z mount cameras, what 24-70 lens you do recommend?
