As a tobacco only smoker, I think inhaling any smoke into your lungs is bad for you. I've been smoking cigarettes for many years and yeah the side effects are there so I think people need to stop kidding themselves. The only real difference is that its very easy to smoke a packet of cigarettes a day whereas the stoners that I knew would smoke maybe 5 or 6 joints a day. Thats a big difference.

Had to go read this in a few places to get the full story , turns out the comparison was between cigarette smokers and people who smoked weed and tabaco...possibly together , possibly separate and like most ppl who smoke weed with tabaco probably without a filter. All this research is proving in my mind is simply that smoking tabaco without a filter is more damaging than smoking tabaco with a filter. is this news new for people?

What do people use to light their cigarettes and marijuana?
A butane lighter? Probably 99-100%.

Cigarettes are typically lit once, where marijuana is lit every time one wants a hit.
