this is a result of bad parenting
it literally boils my blood to see irresponsible parents not taking care of their children and just letting their children play on the phone, 24/7 while they have fun in life like a teenager or something, a very similar case happened with fortnite (the game is stupid anyways) when the servers got shut down for 24 hours and kids started throwing controllers on TVs and instead of blaming the kids they go straight after epic games and say that their game is addictive, like bruh for once just spend an hour with your child! they are not your pets they are literal human beings that need time an affection!
there is a saying that i firmly believe to be true 'all children deserve parents but not all parents deserve children'
that Vietnamese guy made an awesome game and people who got 'addicted' to it started blaming him instead of taking care of his addiction, and the poor guy got so pressured that he ended up deleting the game.
if i were the developer i would simply state 'learn how to become a proper parent instead of blaming me for your mistakes'

And, yeah. Why would you assume that's a metaphor or an exaggeration if you don't know the language well enough?
