This ship is way way overpowered like some fan fantasy ship, the droid mod(why doesn't everyone have that ?), and the lasers/lightsabers are stupidly OP.

That moment in the series made me stand up and cheer for the Rebels and curse the Empire. I needed that emotions since I was a kid watching SW on VHS :)

It is a really cool ship. A true sleeper.
I would want either something similar (an old ship packed with modern tech), or an elegant yacht packed to the brim with hidden weapons. Hide in plain sight, so to speak.

The Fondor is the SW equivalent of a James Bond car. Incredibly exceptional in every way and DEFINITELY not something your average smuggler could afford. Most of the mass produced ships we see in SW have a very used, industrial vibe to them. This ship is clearly a cut above that

YES , they did (in answer to Your question)!! The ship --in its cockpit design --does not make the "Prequel Trilogy" mistake. All of the spacecraft from those movies were too high-tech looking (to have existed during the time period before Episodes' 4, 5, & 6 & or , much of the aesthetic and supporting technological devices from the Prequel Trilogy looked / felt out of place ; or from an alternate Star Wars universe). From the work done by the director of 'Rogue One' (forgot his name for some reason), J. Faverau & D. Filoni , to Mr. Gilroy's design team's spacecraft --in other words --Most of the ships & the overall technological design aesthetic (from the aforementioned directors) all look period correct (& or like they fit into the time period that they are portraying). The comparison I am really trying to make is --with the Prequel Trilogy --we got Teslas' before corvettes and mustangs etcetera etc (please know that I don't hate the prequel trilogy at all ; quite the contrary , it has some good contributions to the overall canon of Star Wars). Luthian's ship is really well thought out. From it's features and design, to its weaponry and stealth capabilities!! Total design success --while at the same time --not too flashy or overstated!!

This one scene had more star wars creativity than the 3 sequel movies combined

Yes the ship is pretty cool, packed with tech someone in that world would not expect, but it was the 'stealth' of it that let him get away, he was not many seconds away from big trouble.

I like that ship and the szene, but unbeatable.... nope, it is overpowerd in its size, true, but if the empire used an ISD, not an Arrestor cruiser or an escort fleet with the cruiser, the battle was a short story, not good ending for Luthen^^

This is what i always wondered, if the tractor beam is so strong then drop a bomb and the tractor beam will suck it up abd blow itself to pieces

Star Wars ships are by far the laziest world building designs of any franchise. It’s all about what looks “cool” instead of giving any sense of what or why it has its features.

1) I thoroughly enjoyed Luten just wrecking it. The shrapnel scene was amazing
2) I kinda hated how overpowered it felt. It messes with the tech mechanics of the entire universe. If he has an auto-aim turrent then why don't other ships have that either? That's a game changer for all those ships that can only shoot straight or need someone to man a turret. The lightsabres felt unnecessary. Cool, but unpractical.

Still looking forward to seeing it more in action though :-)

Not really...it was a cheap idea. For the sake of the story sadly, not really smart. Didn't use his skills and just used the "ship". This was a cheap "Gundam Wing" and not a true "Gundam" in context. Another way to just kill off endless Tie Fighters

This series is the Star Wars I have always wanted.

This ship does not look good. It’s kind of a mess of geometry and and has, in my opinion, an uninspired silhouette. I understand that they are going for a sleek transforming dark looking ship with strong imperial hints, but it tries to combine too much into too few shapes.
