Beat this game for first time today, such an incredible experience, trico really feels like he has his own mind it's outstanding

I honestly don't know how you run this game. I played it for the first time recently on stream, and I loved it. I loved how it looks, it looks amazing and still puts a lot of modern games to shame with so many small touches like tricos feet gripping environmental stuff, and the kids hands touching the walls, and the overall look of the entire thing. and i love the story i think its amazing. it has some of the best moments that really make you think ''oh my god'' and have you on the edge of your seat that no other game ive played has pulled off as well.
But its let down by a couple things that would improve it so much. and thats the boys controls. I can forgive tricos Ai because he's an animal. but the boy not having a walk cycle makes for some of the twitchiest movement mechanics ive ever used in a game. he has creep and full sprint and its so annoying when you want to move at a regular speed to get him positioned right, but he's either too slow, or way too fast.
And the other thing is his grip. he will grip trico like theres no tommorow....when you dont want im to. and will let go when you want him to grip. if he had a dedicated grip button like in Shadow of the Collosus it would make it so much better. trying to jump off trico, especially his head, is a lesson in patience. because he doesnt jump off, but rather jumps along trico as if he's a wall. sometimes even jumping down tricos face.

But seriously, the fact you did this in under three hours is amazing, but the fact you even do speedruns of this at all is also a feat in itself.

I didn’t get all the skips, struggled a little with white tower, but managed to get the trophy thank you.

I really wish they had a way to time each part like in Ico you could save by sitting on the chairs after each section so you knew where you were at.

The only sad part of the speedrun is poor Trico ends up being a pincushion for most of the game. Ignoring the spears stuck it Trico was really bothering me lol

But furthermore: this has to be one of the best speedrun comments i have ever heard! i personally prefer comments as voiceovers, not live, for more overview and with a plan. And secondly i enjoy it calm like that, not trying to sound overaccaturated, not trying to impress. And you perfectly managed to include every important information for easy following along, as well as your personal views and struggles at certain points. Thats honest and modest.
After too much of these young and overexcited commenters, listening to you was a joy.
i hope, the video gets more attention soon. And i will remember to look for more from you.

Wow! Awesome run!! I just finished the game for the first time and was looking for a good speed run video to use as a guide. This is really impressive.

Am glad I didnt play this game... I hate not knowing where to go or what to do. It's like they made this game for speed runners.
