How To Use Mods in Valheim - Beginner Guide

Trying to do the raft mid im getting nothing the begining msg works but in game I see nothing

is there anyway to save moded valheim? I download a mod called valweed and seed totem that allows you to gain rested buff on the go and quick planning and harvesting with a tap on the seed totem respectively. But it requires material to create seed totem and I found out that if I were to turn off the mod and save the game or if I go to vanilla and save the game when leaving, the material used to make the seed totem also get lost. Is there anyway to prevent this? Thx

I’m using Xbox game pass and when I select rub modded valheim it says it can’t find the games file path. No idea what to do here.

Their website has been updated, now I can't find where to download Overwolf itself.

I wasn't 100% convinced with downloading two different programs on top of already having vortex, but that 'Download with Dependencies' sealed the deal. Been having a nightmare trying to manually install bepinex with vortex

Is it possible to play mods with friends in multiplayer? Like in Minecraft where you and your friends just need the same mods to be installed.

how do i adjust addons ingame? F5 does nothing.

For some reason, when I installed some small mods, my audio gets really messed up. It sounds like a mixture of static or like its cutting out rapidly and cutting back in. I've reinstalled mods, reinstalled valheim... nothing seems to fix the issue. It isn't just valheim either. If I have valheim open, even this video sounds like a mess. Wondering if you know about this issue or maybe its something with the mods I downloaded?

Edit: I've tried other mods, and I get the exact same effect. I have no idea what to do. :(

If yo ucan do not download overwolf

Use nitrado for servers, in my personal experience gportal won't help you but nitrado will I accidentally baught a server for the wrong platform (game ark survival platform pc gamespass(I got standard pc server) gportal said there's nothing I can do and can't refund nitrado replied within 10mins and refunded me and helped me get the right server, they seem better, all the server settings are essentially the same as gportal too so it's not much extra to learn. just my personal opinion take it as you will :)

Unfortunately most thunderstore mods are just copies from nexus. Is thunderstore so much better than nexus that it justifies using over nexus?

have only just started playing Valheim and after playing for a few days thought I'd look into mods since there are some features I feel should be a core feature or at least part of the base game either for QoL or just it seems like a natural extension and when you first brought up modding I thought of backpack and the second after you did it too, thought it was funny... caused me to chuckle at least. didn't know about the mod manager tho and that is a relief as I've played games that I tried to mod before and it hasn't always gone well so having a manager that can keep it all straight and turn on and off based on profiles makes it SO much easier to deal with. Thanks for the video.

Overwolf is garbo

Not sure why my arent working it first said i needed to change the directory, i did and i think i did it to the right one then it said there was no plugins active and the command console thing that shows up before the game doesnt show up for me, not sure if its just in stupid or my computer or game is being stupid

hey so i was able to make a modpack to my liking and im really excited to play but i have a problem. Ive been trying to host a server for just me and my friend but when either of us try to join the other we are just met with infinite black screens until the host either quits the game or the friend closes the game. Im not sure what to do

Kysen, my buds and I are starting up a new dedicated realm. Could use some advice on getting mods to work. Journey to valheim and chicken boo dont seem to load up anymore. Both great addons that flesh out the last 3 biomes and some end game food. Noticed your weapon addon used some very similar resources

Will this method work with Xbox gamepass?
