And here i was trying to optomize my code when I'm only planning on having less than 100 objects on screen.
Ответитьnice beenchmark
Ответитьif you think that level of performance is cool, wait until you see GD extension and C# scripting in godot
Ответитьswitching Unity to ill2cpp from mono could make a huge impact
ОтветитьDue to the recent events related to the suicide of Unity, I suggest taking a closer look at the Stride engine.
ОтветитьVery misleading, your using much more costing maths with unity, you can see this from the bee formation, square vs circular. And circular will cost more due to the math, a lot more
ОтветитьSwitched to unreal a long time ago
Hopefully unity comes to a decision that doesn’t screw over already existing games
could you repeat test, but use c# and c++ instead of gdscript?
ОтветитьCould you share your fps counter scripts
Ответитьwhy is nobody talking about how the bees are so hypnotizing @_@
ОтветитьIt looks like you're using different math in unity, godots bees move within a square, yet Unity's bees move within the bounds of a sphere the math for that is heavier
ОтветитьGodot is new. Wait for at least 3 years and Godot will catch up to Unity
ОтветитьStill unity bees look better :)
ОтветитьDone with Unity. Been learning Godot the past few days and I can't believe I didn't switch sooner. GDScript is so much simpler, the input system in Godot is SO much more intuitive than the 'new input system' in unity. For platformers, slope detection is already accounted for out of the box! That's nuts. And I've barely scratched the surface. It feels like a dream come true.
ОтветитьI'm interested in Godot c# performance comparison
ОтветитьGodot is good option!!!!!
Ответитьis godot c# faster than unity C# ?
i was expecting this comparison ;D
I was thinking about using godot. Thanks this helps a lot.
ОтветитьBut I think the 3D scene performance test will also surprise you, but not in favor of Godot. The difference is almost 50%
ОтветитьFirst 😊
