Lately I’ve been questioning the actual history of the slave trade due to the hard believe that we were stolen off the shore of Africa. However if you look at how European do business they do not invade lands or kidnapped people they are not familiar with they actually go the peaceful route first before laying fire to land but that wasn’t it. In the early history of European expansion they actually set up trading ports in west, south and North Africa and shared their religious beliefs with the people. I’m not gonna go super deep into it but I’ll say this it’s not as black and white as black Americans make it seem. We really need to evaluate our history before we make mistakes we can’t take back

Everyday I see videos like this these days. Everyday I am relieved to see it wasn't just me. I honestly for a while there thought that I was a jerk. I thought that I was sexist. I thought there was something wrong with me is the point. Turns out I wasn't alone and there's a lot of other people who think the same way, and when I see other people talk about it ... It just makes me feel there's hope. I'm all for women's power blah blah blah Let's just keep it realistic please. Why women ever wanted to run around acting like men is beyond me.

As soon as I heard about this movie I looked up the history. I refuse to watch it due to its misinfomration. It is a blatant attempt to again vilify white people and to present black people, as the black author in the Dakotas maintains, as kind, loving folks who are not racist and sanctifies all life. Certainly the truth that it was blacks selling blacks into slavery diminishes the cry for reparations in this country. In truth, slavery still exists within some areas of Africa, some under the umbrella of Islam.

This might actually be a good thing for this movie to have been created, not to be watched really, but more so that people end up (hopefully) doing research about the Dahomey. I could probably benefit from some research as well. I know there will be people who are cursed with the wokeness who will actively deny the facts of history, even if they research this tribe, and just label it as more "white lies". But I just hope that a lot of people learn about this and that people stop blaming white people for everything and making all white people out to be devils. All of us have dark history, all of us have terrible ancestors at one point or another. War/Conflict was the law of the land for a long time for everyone, it was a necessary part of life to protect and to take, and it shaped the world to be how it is today. All any of us want is to live in peace and harmony, but we are so far from that these days. I might end up watching this movie at some point just to see, but I'm definitely not looking forward to it.
