Bible Journaling Supplies Haul: beginner Bible stationary supplies haul & review

In my experience with the ZEBRA mildliner.Highlighter the bleed through my bible. But Mr. pen gel highlighter are my favorite to use in my bible.

I have a suggestion about some supplies bleeding through the page. I'm an artist and sometimes I use Gesso to paint onto a page and then color or write on the gesso when it's dry. You get it at any craft store and a jar lasts forever. Also if you wite with anything that smears when the book is closed you can spray the writing with a spray fixative so that it won't smear. I love vellum so much. You can frame a sticker on it or another paper. It’s just pretty!

You can sharpen the Mr. Pen gel highlighters with a regular pencil sharpener and they are easier

Can I use a notepad for my Bible journaling

You probably figured this out by now, but the tall thin Twistables are colored pencils, the short fat ones are crayon.
I love using 005 Microns (.02mm) in my Bible because I take so many notes. I have recently begun considering branching out from black since sometimes I want to show a different focus without highlighting the word (I use colored pencils to highlight). Personally I like using tools that are sold individually so when one is used up/dryed out I can replace it instead of getting more of the ones I haven't used up too

Walmart have the wax highlighters from their brand and are very good for use in the Bible I use them 😊

I definitely have some of these supplies and some are great while others were an epic fail for what I wanted to use them as. I find other uses for them lol. My favorites are gelatos, sharpie felt pens, and printables.

Great suggestions!! I have some & am going to try others! I would add Prismacolor premier pencils. I love the variety of colors and they work fantastically in a traditional Bible. (So, they will be great in a journaling Bible as well!) Along with my micron pens, they are a close second as a favorite! Most often I use both.

The fat Crayola Twistables are crayons, the slim ones are colored pencils. That is why the slim ones break.

I use Mr pen in my bible as highlighter. Love it!

I LOOOOOOOOOVE tombow dual tip brush pens!! but I've never used them in my bible! I know there is a pastel pack but I don't know if that matters or not....but I love calligraphy so I use the tombows for that!

These are my go to for my color coding. I have a set of colors per book in the Bible then two or three that jump from book to book for specific categories!

I too use the Twistable Crayons....but I sharpen them with any pencil sharpener

I am not picky 😜 don't mind little bleed through because it's not going be perfect remember........I love love love paper mate gels pens and yes they not cheap but I love them and bic jelcity gel pens.....and my Crayola brand ....or crazy color pencils brand.....I've been one love color pencils.....for coloring pages in inspire creative journaling bible...or kjv creative bible....

The regular Mr Pen gel highlighters are the bomb! I bought the pastels, and I absolutely hated them. Get the original set, you won’t regret it!

i love using tombow markers! i use them all the time in my journal, but some of the colors do bleed! i recommend the pastel set or the cottage set...most of those colors won’t bleed through most pages (i also have the same Bible as you and they work great)!

you can buy the mildliners in packs at Walmart. they do have different color pallets. I do use tombow's in my bible as well, I always stick to the pastel colors and I would recommend that you don't apply to much pressure when you are highlighting.

Yay for tombows! I use the light colored ones for highlighting, so I don’t see a lot of bleed through even with my suuuuper thinnnn Bible pages. But they’ll still be useful on your scrapbook paper inserts and stuff!!

Those zebra sarasa pens you mentioned, are they just amazon or can you get them at Michaels or Walmart? I heard everyone talking about those Mildliners! I want to get them but afraid they'll bleed through.

I never use highlighters only colored pencils. Side note. As a special Ed teacher I always asked for everyone’s short stubby pencils. They are best to get kiddos to hold a pencil correctly.
