The Last of Us Part 1 and 2 are my favourite games of all time. They are sad depressing and brutal but their is a melancholic and bittersweet hope to it. People have the capacity for evil (Hunters David’s men) but they also have the capacity for happiness and good (Jackson) I love these games so much Joel and Ellie are my favourite characters of all time. They mean so much to me. Joel is a man who lost everything but gained happiness when he never thought he would. Ellie
Is a girl born into the apocalypse she has hope and dreams of a better world but she is swallowed by pain and anger. However I think she will be able to seek happiness. She got closure for Joel’s death so she can move on.

Favorite post apocalyptic game is stalker anomaly

WOW this was a good one. I like how by using a post-apocalypse as an example, you amplify whatever you talk about (hope) so much more.

Humans are the biggest evil in all post apocalyptic situations.
Other people.
I really hope for a massive change in my life time .
Life is just to wasteful.
Too much greed which equates in to the wrong people deciding how our civilization functions.
In my opinion no human should lack these basic modern things.
--food
--water/ clean
--shelter/ room, bed, bathroom
-- medical care
-- I would say electric should be standard in this single bed flats.
We have plenty now its time to make bearable and fair for everybody on the most basic level.

I LOVE post apocalyptic games. The beauty of the game, the struggles ppl go through, and the hope they find gives me such an emotional feeling, good and bad. Thank you for making this video! Love all your other videos!

Wish there were more stories showing the development of societies and civilisations across the centuries and millennia after the Apocalypse. Like, am I the only one who loves it when post-apocalyptic peoples end up developing into the whole “Spear-carrying/buck-naked except for loincloths/body paint on bare chests and legs” look? What do you think it is about that look that’s so iconic and appealing?

I would be like Homer, the main character in Metro 2034. He explores the post-apocalyptic underground not to change things, not to save the world, not to make the world return or advance, but to register its present history. Homer is both a historian and a narrator, he wants to tell the story of Metro and its inhabitants.

Hey Raz, I just finished Kipo and wanted to say thanks for showing me it. I had just finished TLOU2 and had been feeling pretty hopeless myself (on top of the pandemic + winter) and Kipo was a good source of wholesome inspiration. It reminded me of the best in humanity. Thanks

This is one of my favorite videos. I love how you compared and contrasted Kipo and TLOU by exploring the ideas of hope and humanity. Hope really can come in many different ways and essentially influence the way we behave. Its incredible that many who disliked part 2 don’t see that.
