Both of these are beautiful guitars. I played the black/white fade today, and almost bought it. I already have a Tele-Deluxe and a regular though, and I promised myself the next guitar I get will be a Les Paul because I need a dark high-gain tool next.

Is there a USA made tele with similar pick up configuration?

Funny that Fender doesn't know that the selector switch on the Tele is 3 position, not 5. The Nashville has 5. Moral: don't let the intern caption your videos.

Just received the player plus telecaster in Cosmic Jade. Biggest piece of garbage i've ever had my hands on.. High e didn't even line up with the fretboard. No quality at all in this $1099.00 plus tax instrument. No thanks Fender.

That colour fade looks so good when someone is playing the guitar. Much better than when it’s sitting on a stand. It’s a beautiful thing!

Bought a Nashville and it swiftly became my main gig guitar. Only issue I've had with it is the pickup selector knob fell off, so I pimped it with a chrome one.

Very helpful demo thanks as I am looking to buy a player plus tele. One question I had is with the neck and body seeming to be a little thinner than traditional fender player tele, is the overall weight lighter?

Damn I’m reading some comments and I don’t know if my brother got ripped off on buying this guitar, luckily he bought it used at GC for $724 after taxes in mint condition, came with a soft case as well. I thought the guitar played nice through a Boss Katana MK50, but we’ll see how it plays on a Blues Junior 4 when we bring it home. I was lucky enough to buy a Player series Tele at $629 brand new during Memorial Day weekend and i love it more than my Gibson SG Junior and Epiphone Phantomatic. Hell I own a Squire M-80 and that thing shreds better than all my high end guitars. I enjoy Fenders more than Gibsons/Epiphones but it’s sucks that the guitar market has gone up in price since covid. I mean I’ve run into some problems with my Mexican Player Tele but for half price of my Gibsons I’m having more fun and I am not disappointed in paying for what I got. It’s shame that Gibson QC has gone down and it’s the same reason I’m afraid to invest in a American Fender after hearing stories in Fender’s QC. Again pointless rant I think you guys make better guitars than most manufacturers but still kinda sucks to pay a premium price for the lesser Fenders at the end of the day especially when Mexican fenders were $150 cheaper before covid at $699 retail. What I’m trying to say is it’s pretty hard to find “the One” but I’m sure you guys will make it some day! I rather give my money to Fender/Squire than the other guys lol. (I will update this post after owning this Player Plus Tele after a week)

Those guitars would be right up my alley...if I wouldn't have read really scary things in the ratings on Thomann - one with the bridge mounted wrong so the intonation couldn't be set properly, one with defective electronics, one with the protective paper missing on the bridge PU, one with a misaligned string tree, a bad neck pocket, at least two with a botched nut, two with a bent pot, a few with finish issues and several complaints about the factory setup (or the lack thereof) . Mind you, that was just the feedback on the one shop that allows buyers to openly share their experience with the products (with many not bothering with doing so) so it looks like Fender still has so serious QA issues that I better keep looking for a modernized Telecaster with a 12" fretboard radius elsewhere. I'm not keen on paying 1000€ and then having to do the QA for Fender and sending the duds back, at the risk of getting kicked by Thomann for returning too many guitars. Really too bad.

5 star feature set with 2 star quality and 1 star value. I first tried one at a guitar center, but it had issues. Buzzy, twisted neck. So I ordered one in butterscotch blonde from Sweetwater. Because the $1029 MSRP wasn't high enough when they just introduced it, Fender raised the MSRP further Jan 1 to $1129. I got it at a decent discount off the old price. So why am I thinking about sending it back? #1 reason - the fretwork sucks. One fret actually needs to be replaced because of how inexpertly it was dressed. The rest are just uneven and poorly end dressed. I could have fixed that with a fret level (I do my own) and lived with the poor fret end dressing (way rounded off instead of a proper angled plane.) But I shouldn't have to for this price. And the first fret can't just be levelled, it needs to be pulled and replaced because one end is SO rounded off. The pickups are harsh compared to my American Nashville B-bender (also 3 pickups and 5 way switching), the knobs are light and feel cheap. Either they're cost reduced plastic knobs or maybe aluminum but they weigh 12 grams each vs. the metal knobs that weigh 33 grams each on my American Tele. The tone knob doesn't fit properly and it wobbles even when the set screw is tight because fender used a knob for a 1/4" shaft with no sleeve insert on a 6mm aluminum shaft pot on the tone knob. The volume is a 1/4" brass shaft pot. It fits better but even that doesn't fit like the knobs on my american tele. It also wobbles a bit. The knobs just feel cheap. The knurling is finer and doesn't grip like those on my american tele. This is easily corrected by buying proper chrome plated brass telecaster knobs and putting a sleeve on the tone pot shaft. (allparts, others). But again...you should not have to do this on a guitar priced at $1129 MSRP. Lots of high frets, and as I mentioned before the fret ends are not properly dressed, and are so rounded off that on the 1st fret, the low E string when pressed straight down literally comes down on the rounded off portion, and has a tendency to roll off the neck. It's not a nut spacing issue. The frets are actually cut too short, then rounded off by sloppy fret end dressing. I wanted to love it, but it's probably going back. What did I love? #1 feature - the 12" Neck radius. The headstock that doesn't have a weird logo or an odd cut. The butterscotch blonde finish and maple tinted neck, locking tuners included, the pickup and control FEATURES/configuration (but not quality). What did I hate? The poor quality gig bag (it's really cheap) on a guitar with an MSRP of $1029, no wait, now $1129, I blinked! The bad fretwork. The cheap electronics. The harsh pickups. (yes you can EQ that to eliminate it but you'll be rolling WAY back on your tone knob and treble/presence knobs to warm it up.) Make this model in the USA for F's sake and put quality components in it. I'd gladly pay more to get it with quality parts but these FEATURES. I could do without the push pull pot...those combinations don't sound too great anyway, although with better components, maybe they would. I'd have liked strap locks included, but that's an easy addition for those who want them. In summary, a homerun feature set (other than the lack of a proper case and straplocks) but made with cost reduced cheap parts and poor fretwork quality at price point more appropriate to an American made instrument. (Hint: Gibson has Tribute SG's starting at $1200 with a much better gig bag and better quality parts - made in the USA.) I've had some mexican fenders that had decent quality...but this wasn't it and I tried 2 of them so far. I'm reluctant to try an exchange vs. just a refund on this one. It's irritating because I really love the feature set but feel like I have to gut it and redo the fretwork to get it to be a good quality instrument. So am I just too picky and ranting? i don't think so. After my original comment here, I went to another local music store. they had 4 of these on the wall - one in each finish. Every single one of them was worse than mine. Two had high strings so close to the edge of the fretboard any vibrato would put them off the edge. They just all had jacked up necks in one way or another. Disappointing quality from fender on this line. I've played 6 of them now. It turns out the one I got was one of the better ones...and it's still disappointing. At least on mine the bridge, neck set position, and nut are in the right position and properly spaced. I couldn't say that on ANY of the last 4 I played. yikes.

Looks great , sounds great , so much so I own 2 . Now all you have left to do is 1. Take the snap crackle and pop out of my electronics, 2 spend enough time on fretwork so strings don’t break during first song( I am still having to use 11s), make the pickup switch so the knob doesn’t fall off, don’t promise warranty’s you don’t intend to honor
