I can't judge acting. I thought Ke Huy Quan's acting was a bit cliched but everyone, even the haters of Michelle were praising it. People pointed out the challenge of acting both comedy and drama but I think Michelle could've nailed it better. I haven't watched Tar but I couldn't believe the amount of aggression that the people who were against Michelle winning during the Oscars telecast displayed since they were anti-woke but the hate came through intensely. Fortunately, the support came through after she won as many rebutted these haters with valid points. The haters of Michelle have been silenced but I still can't believe there are still vocal haters of the film and I can't help but think some of this stems from hate. Not just for one of the makers of the film who is asian but because of the whole Asian connection and of course, Michelle winning. EEAAO was perfectly-made which was entertaining, artistic and original. People struggle with both. Writing a concept through success like that and executing it into a fully-realized film that meets the vision goal. Atleast not just me but millions of others felt that the film was excellent and a masterpiece. While not an all-time legendary piece of art, it can compare with at least a handful of films from each decade.

As an Asian American, I grew up watching Michelle Yeoh in many movies and she’s been an idol of mine for years. And to see her be the first asian woman win a leading actress Oscar, and only the second woman of color to win, was very emotional to witness live

Actually, this should’ve been Michelle Yeoh’s second Oscar. She should’ve won for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Her performance was amazing in both films. I do believe she will win two more awards

Andrea Riseborough got such a rough time over this nomination. Worked her butt off for years and proved herself to be absolutely brilliant, only to have the disgusting woke brigade just totally destroy any chance at happiness over this much-deserved nomination. You people are absolute bullies.

Love Michelle Yeoh, love her speech, love her style, love that a woman of a certain age won. But Cate Blanchett deserved to win this. Tar is phenomenal. Should've won direction too but sadly everything is political now.

It's funny how Cate Blanchett was blabbering all about everyone is a winner and Michelle should win shit during the entire season, and when she looses the Oscar, is the first one to make that bitch face. Definitely one pretentious aussie

I don't think she should have added the last line, "this is history in the making" Accept the award cause you deserve it, not to make history. That is for the historians to debate.

Just heard this woman is getting a STAR ON THE WALK OF FAME next year, and my question is, how is she getting one "before" KE HUY QUAN? If it weren't for the ASIAN "presence" of a BRUCE LEE in the 70's or KE HUY QUAN and the LATE GREAT PAT MORITA in AMERICAN cinema in the 80's, there would be NO Michelle Yeoh, Jackie Chan or better yet, this( ASIAN INVASION) that's been going on in Hollywood for the last few years. Bottom line, Ke was FIRST, so he needs to get his STAR "first". IJS
