ROG Zephyrus G14 & G16 (2024) - Razer Blade Killers?

Please confirm that it is fully up gradable to meet EU new standards and able to run any Linux or unix operating system ? Does it now have any support or three years support in the EU as its competitors. If not why do yo think someone would buy it ?

There's no way devices that thin will be able to cool a 4070 and performance CPUs that are only 20 % more efficient than last year's, i have last year's thicker M16 and it's louder than a truck.

What I want to know:

- How does the 16 run with Fedora.
- Does the 16 have a haptic touchpad
- Do they have a hardware MUX?

Gosh! They are perfect but with one downside for me. No touchscreen...

The upgradeability is a point of contention for me. A single stick on older Zephyrus models kinda pushed me towards the legion products, now there's no upgradeable ram at all?
Guys these laptops are gonna be expensive, and for a non upgradeable system, its only good sense to move more towards the 32Gb option.
Question at that price point is, will it be worth all those trade-offs?

Unfortunately they ruined the chance of this competing with the blade 16 by not making the display bezels slim like the blade, asus never learns. Just made laptop with the body and screen of the m16 with a RYZEN processor and you’ll have a laptop that cannot be touched by any manufacturer

Cooling will be very problematic. Thinner laptop with 2 less air ventilations on the sides. Very sad!!

Now it looks more and more like a MacBook Pro 😂😂😂

Im curious if the G16s Thunderbolt ports directly connect to the GPU. I would love to connect this system to the TS4 dock for a one cable desktop solution.

I cannot use a laptop with no upgradability 😭😭 my laptop is 7 years old and i upgraded the ram to 32 and change the ssd 3 times because of how much i use data, if those wherent upgradable i would have thrown it away yeaaaaars ago....... they really want us to consume more and more and more

I just hope Asus doesn't screw us Canadians around like they did with their earlier models where they didn't sell the nicer screen options in Canada... I Almost fell for it and bought an M16 that wouldn't have had the miniLED screen that was a big selling point for me. In the end, I ended up not buying an Asus Laptop because of the shadiness behind that. Still a little unsure about buying this one, because of all that.
