I already own the quest 2, but I was given a gaming laptop recently with pretty good specs, is it worth switching to something like a vive pro or the valve index now that I have a gaming pc. I notice that the quest 2 is quite grainy with its graphics, is that improved with either of those options?

This guy is just reading a script while being absolutely clueless! For example the Valve Index doesn't have a 130 degrees FoV, it's about 107. One of the main selling points of the Vive Pro 2 is its bigger horizontal FoV of about 117. 10 degrees difference is huge. And Steam VR 2.0 doesn't give you 'access to content'. It's the name of the tracking system! Also no mention of the Vive Pro 2 having a wireless option (albeit with lower resolution). The list goes on... So much misinformation in this video I feel like I've become actually dumber because of it.

You left out the fact that in order to use any Meta VR you have to link your Facebook account. Also this part might not matter to some people but you can only use the meta browser.

Starting my search early for Christmas. I know zero about VR. I'm looking for something for a 12-year-old girl to mainly play games I think although I wouldn't mind educational use thrown in. I prefer untethered so I can keep her off my PC. Since I don't even know if she's into this stuff price is a consideration. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

This video sounds like an ad, e.g. no downsides to the Quest 2 are mentioned, so how can the viewer compare it to the others? I bought the Quest 2 and sold it again after a few weeks. The FOV (field-of-view) is only around 90 degrees, so it feels like looking at the world through binoculars, i.e. not very immersive.

I can imagine the future with all the cops wearing these to find their suspects. 🤣

I guess all the focus is on resolution. That's fine but not the big need in my opinion. Compressed field of view is much more distracting to me. Also, people don't look around by moving their head so much as by moving their eyes. Again, this is a bigger deal than resolution to me. Finally, once the cool factor is worn off, I might want to explore Mount Everest--or whatever--just sitting in my chair without having to mime out all the movements of looking around, or in other words, I need to be able to control where I'm looking with a joystick or similar device, not just head position. To me, all of these things are more important than resolution.
