Ответитьthank you sir You taught me something that I never knew before That is gonna be very helpful I thank you again
ОтветитьBad Chad, what are your thoughts on the Harbor Freight Titanium or Vulcan welders? I am getting ready to start a project on a 72 Grand Prix that is a very solid car with only 86K original miles. I know this because it was my Dad's car. But, the vinyl top on it has just about ruined the entire roof and I am going to have to do lots of welding to repair the holes. I am a mech by trade and can pretty much do anything with a little practice, but the funds are limited and just wanted your thoughts on these welders, if you have any. Appreciate what you guys do, we all learn a bunch from your videos, so thanks for taking the time to share with us.
ОтветитьI did not know this . Thanks Chad . I just found your channel on you tube and I love this content .
ОтветитьGood info. Thanks
ОтветитьThis guy needs a fab table. When I see someone working on the floor I think about those people in India rebuilding stuff in the dirt wearing sandals 🩴
ОтветитьI learned the hard way 🙄
ОтветитьThank you !

ОтветитьThanks Chad ..I have been building my fox body just watching your videos
ОтветитьYou can use coins to make the gap even then tack, every country has a coin thats right
ОтветитьWell, I just figured out what I did wrong. I am making a tool box out of 18gauge. I had an angle iron frame around it and butted it close together. The pieces warped and had issues with penetration. I basically had to grind out the weld to create the gap. I did one spot weld every 1-2 inches. It worked but I will try this 4 in row method with air.
ОтветитьYou guys make this fabricating look soon easy
ОтветитьQuestion:
I mig, is it better to pull or push the welding?
Very informative. Nice job. Ty
ОтветитьWow, that was a great point !! Thanks. That console is amazing.
ОтветитьThanks Chad going to start a multi-year project this will be the second time ground up restoration of my 61 Chevy panel truck will be collecting my hand tools and making a few tools a shrinking tool a hemispherical wood anvil and some other radius shapes and a break this will be the first time for me for cutting body panels hand forming replacement panels I know it'd be a lot easier just to buy the parts on L&M more like classic it just means a little more to make these parts by hand you guys have a a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
ОтветитьU are great teacher appreciate the great job and the way you explain things and thanks for ur beautiful assistent she did a good job as well she so confident and because she is with you .learn so many tricks 👍🙏👌🤣🇩🇰
ОтветитьAs a VERY new welder... Great content! I have to add new cab corners on my Silverado and plan on doing allot of practice before getting into the truck.
ОтветитьNever been the biggest fan of the "Custom" scene but you sir are a great teacher and master at fabrication 😎👍
ОтветитьGreat video thank you.
I always thought it was better to try to eliminate the gaps.
Thanks again!
I like this guy, seems like a dude you want to know
ОтветитьGreat weld info just , what grit do you use for grinding the welds.
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьWell im glad ya listened to me son........haa
ОтветитьI’m 68 and have just welded two pieces of scrap metal with my new mig welder. I’ll be replacing the front lower fenders(rusted out) on my 72 C20 soon. I’m confident the replacements will look beautiful by following your tips of the trade. LMC provided the bottom pieces for each side and by leaving a gap and clamping them, going slowly, cooling as I go I’ll be successful. I’m excited even though the finished product will actually be hidden behind the front bumper haha! Closing holes in the doors on each side 1/2-3/4” from towing mirrors is next on the list, I look forward to your help. Formerly an entomologist/exterminator/teacher of the sciences I will have to say you are a fantastic instructor. Thank You!
ОтветитьGreat information, Thanks for this
Ответитьlove this one schooling the best way
ОтветитьA 1500 watt laser welder will complete the butt weld with very little heat.
Ответитьreally cool........... thanks
