I hope this helps! Feel free to share any topics you would like covered in future videos :)
ОтветитьLegend is such a beautiful horse! This video really helped!❤
ОтветитьI decided to live out my midlife crisis by pursuing my childhood horse dreams. I started lessons this summer at the age of 52. This video dramatically improved my posting trot at my lesson this morning. I was definitely trying to stand in the stirrups and your tip to keep my lower leg still helped tremendously. I had my best lesson ever today, all thanks to you!!! And I’m not exhausted after 30 minutes in the saddle. Thank you so much!!❤
ОтветитьWow! This helped a lot, my riding instructor basically said “go up and down to the rythem of the horse” and never explained any kind of technique and I’m glad I found this video so I can look and be better while riding
ОтветитьTy!! This video helped me out I am just begginning to trot by myself!
ОтветитьJust rode for the first time in 3 years (lesson-wise) and this is really helpful!
ОтветитьThanks! I've found my mistake! When I post, I push myself out of the saddle (too high) and my lower leg looses contact with the side of the horse. (What you said in the common mistakes section).
ОтветитьI love your horse is lovely and your lower leg it great! But I couldn’t help but notice how far back you are in the saddle, and your leg isn’t tucked on the knee roll. Sorry if I have been mistaken. 🫶
ОтветитьI don’t actually ride but I pretend the armrest on the couch is a horse and when I pretend to trot it’s honestly bad
ОтветитьOne of the things I have observed is a rider who is SO bouncy and forward pushing in the post. Too much drive in the pelvis and too much slap in the backside onto the saddle. I think it has to do with muscle strength, the inability to feel the horse's stride and poor posture. The quieter and more upright the rider, the better for the horse.
ОтветитьHow do you propel yourself in the posting trot? Do you push with your thighs? Is it different bareback? How do you post bareback?
ОтветитьOk, no, this woman is just gifted. She explains and demos with such clarity, it's impossible to not get it. 30 secs in and I see everything I need to work on from saddle fit to my weight. Bless her and Legend (that is l'il ol' Leg, right?)
Ответитьi can trot but it just hurts my knees idk if theyre weak or what but i struggle with more than once round the school
ОтветитьI just need to no how TO KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT ITS SO HARD
ОтветитьI started riding when i was 5 years old.I even started loving it soo much that i wish i could have a farm and a horse.
your videos heip me so much that my parants are proud, also my sister loves riding. I even follow you.
This is really helpful! I’m a lifelong western rider and taking my second English lesson tomorrow. Coming from a cutting and roping background it’s a different seat in a lot of ways. And I think you’re right—a lot of it is gaining strength. I was actually sore after my last lesson and I ride several days a week. This is a great visual. Thanks again.
ОтветитьBest video about trot so far, thanks ❤
ОтветитьMy posting trot makes me look like a deranged frog, thanks for the tips!
ОтветитьHest
ОтветитьI’ve been struggling with this in last two wks as I’ve had a change of horse with a longer stride thank you for the advice
ОтветитьI am at my 4th riding lesson and I'm getting discouraged with trotting. I started confident and ok and the basic, also I struggled with the exercises to built the streng for the Trott but in the end they seemed to work. The last two lessons went horribly, I couldn't Trott for more that half a circle started crying because of knee and ankle pains and had to stop. I think watching this video I might have pushed too much woth my feet and legs, getting way too high and struggling a lot, rather than rotating my hips. Also I got out of breath within seconds. I will try to think about these tips tomorrow and hope they ease a bit the work. I would like to work more on walking and the correct position but my coaches are moving pretty fast. Which I like if I succeed because it's nice to Trott but when I struggle I just really want to quit and I'm also starting to be aftaid that I will solidify in my mistakes of I don't slow down. If anyone has more experience it would be nice to hear a good word, it would help me feel less hopeless and alone. I've dreamt for 20 years to start riding and it's also a big strain on my finances I just get super upset if I don't do good or feel good while doing it.
ОтветитьI AM GOING TO SUBSCRIBE!!
ОтветитьThank you for this, I have definitely been using my feet to push off, working so hard that after 30 minutes of riding my ankles give out and I experience muscle failure in them 😅 I need to work on doing it correctly
ОтветитьUsed to do horseback riding when I was younger just starting again now at 20 I can’t wait
Ответитьi'm an experienced rider but always found post trot digonals so hard! tho no ofence but aren't your stir ups a lil' long?
ОтветитьLove that this video is short and sweet. Thansk!
Ответитьthanks the tips are truely helpful
ОтветитьI’ve been riding ever since two and am 11 now and all tips help even if I can already do it
ОтветитьI am 38. I want to start soon.
ОтветитьA thing I would like to discuss that I'm unsure about, sorry if the video already went over it but I find it easier to follow when written down in one. How do I rise up without standing in the stirrups? I get like idk rising and falling but I just can't I don't get it
Ответитьthank you my trainer showed me you.
I have pretty strong cabs so it was pretty easy and good.
Thank you, you really helped.
thank u for the tips!!
Ответитьdang its been 5 days since ive been horse riding and im still not getting any better XD
ОтветитьYour video is so encouraging, thank you! I am learning on a kickon pony, so am told I need to keep kicking while I am posting. This means unfortunately I can't keep my lower leg quiet as you've advised. Do you have any advice on how I can still incorporate your advice? I'm also not sure what you mean by a stable thigh, would love if you could expand. Thank you! I've just had my second lesson and I can tell I'm doing everything I'm not meant to be doing from your video!
ОтветитьI’m definitely going to try these tips tomorrow at my lesson thank you
ОтветитьI am 11 and started trot today
ОтветитьThank you! I feel more confident for tomorrows lesson😄 (update thank you for the heart!)
ОтветитьI like this video. It shows how posting should look effortless and in combination with the flow of the horse. You see so many people posting like it’s an activity on its own. They look like they are pushing the horse
ОтветитьHow am I supposed to..hold on? 😅 I’ve noticed in video I basically stand up in trot, just like the video. But I don’t understand any other way to rise without using my feet?
ОтветитьLove the chapter sections, slow motion, correcting mistakes and clear instructions
ОтветитьI forgot how to post cause I got lazy with it ty!
Ответитьwe were always told to pretend were sitting on eggs
ОтветитьVery clearly stated. Thanks so much
ОтветитьJust because of you my riding instructed won't give me aevture for 1000000 hrs on posting the trot he never tells me how to do it just tells me to do raising and trot😢
ОтветитьI just started horse back riding a mounth or two ago and started trotting and I love it I love my horse shay
ОтветитьI started to learn riding 4-5 days ago and am having SO MUCH trouble with Trotting, I keep on falling over the horses neck because my weight is on my shoulders and I feel so frustrated that I'm not able to do it, this video was very helpful!! ❤️❤️
ОтветитьI'm currently on a waiting list to start riding so now I'm only doing dropin lessons and I try to gain as much information about things we did there until next time so that I improve faster and cause I don't get that much help or anything when I'm doing drop in. I have done dropin lessons 4 times now where I have been riding for about 30 minutes each time and last time I was riding mostly by myself cause I have more control now, but the posting trot is something I am really bad at and I don't get that much help from them and tips so watching these videos helps me a lot and it makes me improve really fast.
ОтветитьI started riding a few months ago but i only have a lesson every 2 weeks. My instructor finally let me hold the reins in trot last lesson.i have a lesson this week so am exited to try out these tips
ОтветитьI'm a pretty experienced rider but posting trots have always been really hard too me for some reason? This helped a lot thanks! :-)
ОтветитьMy horse goes really fast in trot
I literally fell of him 2 times yesterday😂
