i'm so glad you restored the wood. i've seen too many restorers completely scrap perfectly fine wood. but the fact that u buffed/sanded some of the metal pieces with ur bare hands freaks me out 💀lol
i'm also so glad you kept the original screws! especially considering one had to get pretty hacked up to be removed

HAD AN ANTTIGUE BUSSNISS FOR A COUPLE IF YEARS, MY CLAIM TO FAME WAS RESTORATION. WHAT I SEE HERE SCARES ME, ON THE BODY IS VERY UNIQUE PAINTWORK AND SOME OF THE LITTLE COVER PLATES HAS ENGRAVING ON THEM SO WHATS GOING TO BE LEFT AT THE END.I AM ARTISTIC MYSELF AND CAN REPLACE MANY ART WORK ON PIECES BUT THEN ITS NOT ORIGANAL ANY LONGER AND WORTH MUCH LESS. MAYBE THIS ONE WAS BEYOND SAVING.THE FINER DETAILS.?? ME.😊

Tension is off, but the fact you took a rusted up "boat anchor" and made it work almost like new, is nothing short of impressive. The fact you etched in some actual Singer decal designs, instead of just winging it, I find that a cherry on top. Unsure if it would be the same to that model, but it's hard to tell when you have nothing to work with in the first place.

sorry if this seems excessive, but could you please put a waring before showing maggots/bugs? I have extreme anxiety and paranoia around worms specifically, they send me into a really uncomfortable panic attack sometimes, that would be greatly appreciated!

Есть такая же машинка, с ножным приводом, заржавела в гараже, когда протекла крыша... Но я так понял что тут все просто, можно отмочить в керосине, почистить, а вот вернуть оригинальные рисунки уже никак не получится, а весь смысл в них. Лазером конечно круто получилось, хоть и не оригинал

I can't believed that much old and rusted fastners you easily unscrewed .after seeing the condition of machine it is possible that internal accessories is also getting damaged .sure shot

На ней можно было шить любую ткань от тончайшего шёлка до толстого драпа в несколько слоёв. Спасибо вам за ваше мастерство.

What a magnificent restoration. Don't know where this machine was made but maybe in the Clydebank Singer factory a few miles from me. I learned to sew on my Granny's machine similar to this one.

This was an amazing work! The laser part made my jaw drop. Also reassembling everything must have been hard.

Sewing machines are very special to me. My grandma had one of these old machines, but from Alpha brand. So it's kind of nostalgic watching this restoration!
