Its flat out lazy
ОтветитьYou know Mike, I really like this car and i really want you to continue with it. Sort it out, learn what it is saying to you. I honestly don't think you are gaining much, if anything from that blower. This might not sound popular, but a NA 540 thats well built but not crazy, should deliver similar if not better results at the track. Are you using pump gas or race gas ? If you are using pump gas then thats impressive, but if you are using race gas then i would consider getting rid of the blower, taking apart the motor to learn what you actually have, then putting it back together with about 13-1 compression, the right cam, and maybe a tunnel ram, and it will go faster than it does now. The parasitic loss of driving the blower, plus the weight of it is barely overcome by the power it makes as compared to a well built NA 540. As far as just plain coolness ya we all like the blower. In my area of Canada i can get AV gas cheap and i have successfully used it above 13-1 CR for a cheap alternative to race gas. I really want to see you succeed with this car. Its the first car I've seen in awhile that i think lots of gearheads can relate to.
ОтветитьI want it!! My husband always watched you on Roadkill and now I am like where’s Mike!? Miss you!
ОтветитьWill we ever see new wheels on rubber duck?
ОтветитьONLY DIFFRENCE BETWEEN DYNO AND STREET IS G FORCE. MAYBEY PULLING FUEL OR OIL . ? OR GAS IN BOWLS. SOMTHING TO DO WITH FUEL BEING PULLED BACK FROM G FORCE OR FUEL REG
ОтветитьRubber duck sure has come a long way since y'all pulled it out of a barn, Mike! I'm thinking a nice solid roller and upgraded springs would get you into the 8's... Good luck! Scott/The Bulletproof Garage
ОтветитьWho would wangt a Datsun????
ОтветитьHave you checked plug gap , is it blowing the flame out
ОтветитьWhen the valvesprings are the issue then it will be worse with the smaller pulley for more boost.
ОтветитьValve float
ОтветитьYou've got a consistent 9 second bracket car 😅 guarantee if you enter into a dyo class dial in a 9.1 it'll go 9.0. Then go for 9.0 and you'll get your 8! Always happens😂
ОтветитьI want to win the Datsun 510! I foresee a life of parking lot autocross for it with me, I bought some stickers so I got one shot.
ОтветитьMaybe the initial hit on the leave moves something in the concerter or in the gearbox and it jams something up. That would explain why it did not do that shit in the dyno. There its already rolling before the hit. Just a stupid idea🤷♂️🤷♂️
ОтветитьAdvance the ignition. That will make more heat and clean the plugs and stop them misfiring......what do you think???
ОтветитьAlmost acts like converter miss match or the converter ballooning
ОтветитьIgnition breaking down at 6100+ rpm
ОтветитьThe fuel pump on the dyno is good. The fuel pump on the car can't keep up? Too much or not enough fuel? I chased a bad ground for a while.
ОтветитьIf your A/F & timing advance are acceptable, the next is a compresdion and leakage test unless you are sure it's healthy. Next is valve spring pressure/condition & rocker are geometry. I'm sure as you check things off you'll find it.
ОтветитьDid I see a tie-bar? Then you have a solid roller unless I was seeing the lifter valley casting?
ОтветитьWonder what its like....maybe next life Best wishes
ОтветитьInjection is nice but id rather be blown
ОтветитьNeed to change the highspeed bleeds...
ОтветитьCheck them with a drill bit gauge...
ОтветитьA glogged air bleed can cause a problem.
ОтветитьDon’t sell the Datsun
ОтветитьThat msd box has a rpm trac it just enough to see you converts sliping. And if you here it breaking up the trac will show if it's spark
ОтветитьFew very important tricks for running Carb s float bowls sock dry you need larger needle and seats .surge tank
ОтветитьPut a fresh alternator in it buy a lightweight lithium race battery that runs at slightly higher voltage and maintains higher voltage upgrade to charge cables from the alternator engine block ground and to the battery Big Three check your ignition box sounds like voltage issue to me
ОтветитьWhy doesn't NPK racing switch to 1/4 mile. They should everybody get back to 1/4 mile REAL drag racing, if you are at the track.
ОтветитьCant afford a dragy?
ОтветитьBoost pressure pushes against the back side of the intake valve, so you're going to be losing roughly four pounds of effective seat pressure for every pound of boost so valve float would make sense.
ОтветитьThe senior moments are real, Mike. Embrace it, learn to love it, and chuckle with your friends when they happen.
Ответить* I'm interested in the 510.
ОтветитьKISS , restricted fuel, something is lowering the volume
ОтветитьYou said it Mike a quarter mile is a real Drag strip 1/8 of a mile is for burnouts
ОтветитьI was always told to keep going up and Jet size until fuel leaks out of the tailpipes then back it up one LOL sounds funny but it has worked just enjoy a nice day at the track assholes took away my atco dragway
ОтветитьMike you could use some good news for a change 🤣✌️
ОтветитьWhrn you caught the ignition in a previous show I thought you could do with moving it. Probably not the problem you are having though. Good luck with it.
ОтветитьWhats the blower tirbines like?🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьThe tuner guy said thats were the o2 sensor is happy i thought mike said it didn't have one🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьHey Mike, Even though you are scratching your head, for us watching this is just 100% fun. Keep on keepin´ on and you will figure it out.
ОтветитьNever make a TNT pass without a Dragy at minimum. Why risk your car on a full blown pass relying just on the track system. And it seems to be long past time to take the motor apart and finally see what you have.
ОтветитьEverything seems to have gottennworse after he had the carb work done. Maybe go back through them.
Ответитьhow long can you hold the gas pedal down? 250mph?
Ответитьnice looking 510
ОтветитьYes valve springs
