The forest was also my refuge... until I learned about ticks. Jokes aside (wasn't joking), Alison Sudol's been a favorite of mine since difficult times. Her music pulls me away from worries and back down to earth. I've been pining for years, ever since childhood. In recent years, I've spent less time in the pines. Instead, I've done things out of the ordinary. Instead of wondering over words, I've spoken. Instead of watching waves, I've made ripples. ...still pining from time to time.

This video came out just at the right time for me. I needed to hear those true, simple words and they have had such a calming affect on my mind. I feel free again for the first time in many years. Thank you Alison :)

I have ALWAYS wanted to be a bird. Always fascinated with flight... jealous even. I really liked this short little monologue, it spoke to me because I find myself in my head... a lot and... slowly i'm coming around to the fact that yes the only way to experience what i'm always only observing is to go out and be a part of it. I'm pretty stoked for this new album~ =D

I think your right. To stop thinking. To stop wondering. What it must feel like to be free like a bird. Oh actually I just looked it up. "suffer a mental and physical decline, especially because of a broken heart. That makes more sense :)

I wish I could be that free. I try. A Fine Frenzy is always teaching me how, with her sweet, gentle persona, with her angelic voice, with her lovely words. She inspires me.

To stop pining.. If that's how you spell it. Anybody care to explain? I'm not exactly sure.. The way I interpret it is 'to stop thinking' but I know there is much more to it than that. Alison is a marvelous writer and composer.
