I have a feeling DreamWorks will combine Pussy, Shrek, and Arthur if at all they decide to make another spin off. It's not even certain and I'm already excited. DreamWorks, we're rooting for you.

Good vid. Always good to have a good villain. If you cannot convince the audience the villain COULD win, the conflict seems trivial. I compare the old Star Trek battling Chicago gangsters in a show which had to have them win. Pablum. And then in a later series, we meet the Borg. The Borg could win and we knew it fast and early. Any win will be hard and painful, not just throw phares at a few people.

God LOVED YOU so MUCH that He sent His only begotten son to die in YOUR PLACE so you won't have to die under Gods judgement but live forever IF you fully trust in Jesus, now that he's risen. Please repent. We all broke God's law, we sinned, but Jesus paid our fine. Romans 3:23, Revelations 21:8, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 10:8-10. Put ur trust in Jesus now, the only way to heaven. a lot of religions say Jesus is a way, a good teacher, Jesus said he's the only way John 14:6 none of us are good Mark 10:17-27, but when we put our faith in Christ we pass from death to life John 5:24 John 11:25-26. We're clothed in his righteousness Isaiah 61:10-11 2 Corinthians 5:4 it's good to trust in him and not how we perceive things, he'll direct our paths, and it's also good to turn from evil n follow him too. Proverbs 3:5-10 2 Corinthians 5:7 Mark 8:34-38

The thing is, Death was never a villain, to begin with; Death was Death, and it's literally his job to be scary and unpredictable. How he functions is in his name. He explains it best; he is Death, straight-up. Death's job is to guide those who die to the other side; put yourself in his boots; if only he wore any, if a pompous cat was reveling in his fame and feeling seemingly unstoppable and had cheated you and your due several times, tell me, would you be pissed off?

Tl;dr; The villain has to reflect the hero’s inner demons, and the defeat of the villain should have something to do with overcoming these inner villains.

I am glad that people like yourself are giving attention to what I also agree has been the best movie of the year. This movie came out of nowhere and I think caught everyone by surprise by how good it was. It is an interesting commentary on the state of entertainment when the most likeable and believable characters are cartoons.

You are confusing "villain", with "antagonist". Jack Horner is the main VILLAIN of the movie, Death is the main ANTAGONIST.

While The Wolf was one of the Antagonist

I love that the wolf is never defeated, only delayed. It shows that not every conflict needs a victory, and once a beef is squashed, both parties can go on with their lives. It also adds weight to the villain, maintaining his menace and danger

Every character confronts death/the value of (a) life at some point in this movie. Puss... 'nuff said. Kitty faces it off screen (almost) and has come to the conclusion that her life would be better if shared with someone. Goldie at first thinks Puss is dead upon finding his grave, and instead of valuing his life at all she bemoans him not being there to help her. He was only valuable to her as an asset, much like how Jack thinks about his bakers. Perrito is the most reverent one of all when he hesitates before digging up Puss's grave, placing value on the life that was even though he had not known him (yet).

I also like the idea of how puss die but was never afraid of dying until death made himself known to puss. Just like how in real life, we all know that as a human we will die and there will be some close calls yet only when we get into a situation where we are a hair string from death, we realize that life weighs more than ever before.

If you notice too when there’s a scene with the map, the wolf dose not show up. Showing the audience that he’s not even in the same plane of living as the rest of the characters or when he just walks through the energy wall near the end

A thing I really appreciate is how Puss "won" not by actually defeating Wolf in the fight, but by showing him that he now values his life. Puss even admitted that there was no way he could defeat Wolf.

At first I was a bit scared how they would give Puss a typical hero powerup and allow him to defeat even Death himself, which would really undermine Death's significance and character. It reminds the viewer that this time, the villain is an actual godlike deity, and iur hero never stood any chance

The hell? I never noticed him standing in the crowd when Puss is fighting the giant! It makes sense, since he outright tells Puss he was always there at every one of his deaths, Puss just never noticed. But damn, that's a great detail.
