tomorrow 100% demo review
ОтветитьLooks cool! Glad there is a demo! I'd be very interested in your list of action/souls like /adventure games, with the most fun and exciting combat!
ОтветитьReally interested in this one and glad you where able to cover it.
ОтветитьHey! Happy belated bday Mort! I hope it was a great day ❤🎉
ОтветитьIt's pretty awesome. The bigger this channel gets, the more content I get. 🎉
Ответитьthe game gives me some vibes of Returnal as well with the "strange alien" map
ОтветитьDemo's need to be more common. It's a good thing for devs as they can get feedback from their audoence prior to release.
ОтветитьRegarding performance:
AMD RX 7900 XTX with Optiscaler: at 4K, FSR 3.1.4 Performance, FSR 3.1 Frame Gen + AFMF 2.1: I was getting 240-290 fps.
Game is really heavy at 4K native maxed out so ... don't do that.
Reminds me of the Cliff missions in Death Stranding.
ОтветитьLooks cool! I wonder if the combat has a Khazan vibe with the parry and special abilities or more janky and generic?
World and atmosphere seem really cool! Will try it this weekend
Checked the demo, this is great and the right kind of weird. Performance could use a bit of work.
Ответитьthe art style of the world seems somewhat bland to me at least from videos but the enemy design is some of the coolest i’ve ever seen no joke
ОтветитьI really appreciate the fact they put out a demo + did a great job with how smoothly the game runs for this stage of development, that said the core gameplay/combat left me wanting (and I loved Death Stranding, so you can't say I just don't like "games where there's no game" in them)
I'm sure they could fix/improve it by the time it's released, but as of right now I'd let it go back into the oven for a significant portion of time, I don't see anything they're doing that's particularly impressive/competitive in today's overcrowded gaming landscape.
Oh this is the game with the gpu requirements that make one of my pc's weep
ОтветитьDemo?
I love a demo.
This looks quite good.
Thanks for the video. It's an interesting concept. I'll be curious if they can stick the landing. The enemies shown look interesting because they are novel, so can they expand upon that theme without the enemies feeling stale? I look forward to you finding out for me. Onward to 500k. All glory to the algorithm.
ОтветитьInterested in its story
ОтветитьFor everyone trapped at work today the demo runs great on high settings with a 4060 level. I still have plenty of room for tweaks. When I first saw the recommended specs I thought I was finally going to have an excuse to do a video card in a lunchbox project. Gameplay It actually reminds more of sinking city than remnant. It’s more of a slower unraveling a mystery. I think it’s great. Don’t get me wrong. More combat and action than city, just I had remnant in my mind after seeing the first trailer. Really excited for a story action adventure. I miss the stream line adventures without fillers.
ОтветитьSekiro has spoiled me for parry based gameplay. So satisfying
ОтветитьHow is the performance on PC?
ОтветитьThe puzzles remind me a lot of Skyrim
ОтветитьWOOOOOOOO🎉🎉🎉🎉 So ready to hear more on this
ОтветитьInteresting game but I'm skeptical about it coming out in September. I think it needs at least another year in the oven to properly polish it.
ОтветитьHope we get a demo for console too! I Really want to play this🤩😫
ОтветитьThis interests me VERY MUCH. I'm in love with the idea and proposal. I just want them to give customization of the HUD. It's really bad like some sort of souls clone and it goes against their philosophy of no waypoints and whatnot.
ОтветитьHi Mortym! Longtime fan of your work here, thanks for the preview! The game still looks like it needs a lot of polish IMO.
Iwante to mention to you Blades of Fire. It seems to have flown under most reviewers' radars, but I am genuinely in love with the game, its mechanics, and its quirks. The learning curve and the difficulty bringing me to my best memories of Dark Souls 1. Sadly, it's only available on the Epic Store, but maybe you'll have time to give it a look. It's a diamond in the rough in my opinion, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
No demo for consols....
ОтветитьHey we have a poncho!! Somebody on this team really like Jedi: Fallen Order 🤣
ОтветитьThis game has really caught my attention. The premise seems intriguing if they can pull it off.
ОтветитьYou're talking about the story, gameplay, characters, but you haven 't mentioned the poncho.
ОтветитьUnfortunately you lost me at being able to change difficulty, health, and damage, I prefer a more concrete vision on what kind of challenge the developers would have envisioned for us to take on but nonetheless I’m sure there are some who will find it appealing I’m just not the target audience
ОтветитьFrom everyone I've watched talk about this game show the performance is poor and not well optimized.
Ответить👏difficulty👏options👏 devs can make the game as hard as they want but unless it's from soft themselves they alienate a lot of people not having accessibility options. I'm def excited for this.
ОтветитьI just played and enjoyed the demo. There are some things I really liked and some things I think are problems:
Positives
+ The graphics are really great
+ The environmental storytelling is off to a really good start and made me interested in learning more
+ This demo was as smooth as butter for me (I have a very high end system so take that with a pinch of salt)
+ Combat was punchy and felt good (although I dislike the healing mechanic so far because your heal window is too tight and feels really bad to use, but it may get better with progression). Anyone who has played a souls like or expedition 33 will find the parries quite easy on standard difficulty and you seem to be able to hold block forever before you get hit if you need to. The attack patterns for some things are nasty and you MUST be careful break up groups of enemies. I found I had difficulty handling more than two active enemies with their death flowers. Thankfully you are given solid crowd control and you can aggro only one or two from a larger pack pretty easily.
+ The puzzles are not hard but there is ZERO hand holding
+ It seems very playable so far with K&M and there was not an insane number of buttons it looks like it will ever have based on the rebind map.
+ This game explains nearly nothing to you beyond combat mechanics. Once again the game is opting for nearly zero hand holding. Bravo!
Negatives - these mostly revolve around some terrible choices that make the game feel 10+ years old
- The camera is designed poorly for the PC I was constantly fighting with the camera because it always wants to be facing where you are running. If you stop, the camera is independent of the direction, but it stays that way when you are moving. It feel REALLY bad. That being said, the camera angles never gave me a problem in combat or when slowly exploring. It is just really hard to look off to the side when running.
- This game has an ancient save point system. I would get it if the save spots were campfires, but you could save wherever you wanted, but it isn't. This is especially a problem because if you are exploring an area, it can be inconvenient to get to a save point if you need to stop playing. You don't lose story or puzzle progress if you don't get back to a save point (or if you die which I never did), but you lose EVERYTHING you picked up since you last saved.
- There is no mapping whatsoever that I found. I LOVE the free form exploration of the game. I don't want or need a prefilled map with markers all done for me. However, I have a high tech drone and you are telling me I can't be mapping as I go? Ridiculous. It is very evident that this will become VERY annoying as I find more and more things to open with this collectable or that collectable that I have to backtrack for. It was already annoying to deal with a watch I found (you will understand if you play. No spoilers).
- Traversal feels very old and clunky. No jump, no crouch, just walk, run, dodge. This means if there is a twig in your way you are not moving through it and you can't interact with things that are at your shoulder height because you can't climb 2 feet to get to it.
- Interacting with objects and POIs feels old and clunky. You select the interactable, then you select the obvious item that goes with it rather than it just slotting in if you have it. You later get a traversal tool and interfacing with it is SUPER clunky.
- The menus also feel off and clunky, but it's not hard to get used to. If you have played Expedition 33 the feel is similar. You can get to everything you need quickly enough but there are too many steps to equip basic things.
- In combat, you MUST use the lock on mechanic or some of your abilities just won't work at all and that camera issue I mentioned earlier really comes into play without the lock on.
All in all, despite list length, the positives outweigh the negatives so far. As a result, I will likely give the game a try. The only thing I am very concerned about the lack of any mapping in a backtrack heavy game.
I am liking the concept of this game from reviews so far, gonna give a try today with the demo. It is really good to see that one can play a demo to get the feel prior to commuting to buying it.
ОтветитьCan you go back and review the telltale walking dead series
ОтветитьJust realized. You never reviewed Divinity 2: Ego Draconis, Divinity Original Sin, and Divinity Dragon Commander. Seems like a great excuse to go back and check out the Divinity series.
Ответитьwhy a time limited demo
ОтветитьHow did I get notified for this 21 hour late.
ОтветитьMy interest in a game drops to zero the second I see Soulslike UI. The only one of those style of games I've really liked was the first Remnant game.
ОтветитьAs a fan Souls games, Silent Hills, walking sims/adventures and rpgs, I'm extremely intrigued by this game. Currently finishing Cyberpunk (which is great and all that) and I'm really sick of checklists, questlogs and minimaps.
This looks really immersive and refreshing.
Yeah the double axe is the way
ОтветитьI'll give the demo a try like everyone else but the drone looks annoying to deal with on screen all the time. I'm not sure if it's just the camera movements in combination with the drone or what but worth a try regardless.
Thanks Mort
I loved the exploration, music and atmosphere. It's just the combat didn't feel good to me, it was a combination of the enemy attack animations, lack of hit feedback and a very tight parry window. I'd rather just replay Khazan or get Stellar Blade when it comes out on PC.
ОтветитьHooray for difficulty options! I usually play games on Normal difficulty, but if I hit a wall and it's taking more than a half hour for a boss or whatever, I want to turn the difficulty down. I'm 54 and I don't have endless hours to play anymore. Thanks for the review.
ОтветитьGronk!
ОтветитьJust played a chunk of the demo, I'd describe the vibes as "Elden Stranding."
ОтветитьPlayed about an hour of the demo and loved the combat, exploration and vibe. Decided to stop because I did hit want to spoil it. Definitely picking this up if the reviews corroborate my experience.
ОтветитьAlready preordered❤
