Step 1: Pull out and cut off the reel of floss about 18 inches (45cm)
Step 2: Wrap the ends around your two index fingers, and stretch it between them, so it is fairly taught, leaving about 6 inches between the two fingers.
Step 3: Gently position the floss in between teeth, flex the floss slightly so it cups around the edge of one tooth in an C like shape. Move the floss up and down to get rid of plaque. Repeat this for the tooth on the other side of that same gap.
Step 4: Repeat this for the tooth on the other side of that same gap.
Step 5: Repeat this process for all teeth and gaps in the mouth.
Step 6: Dispose of the floss.
I floss morning and night and after eating, so several times a day. I use a Sonicare 2-3 times a day. My dentist said if I get a water flosser I can get into the missed spaces! So instead of adding another thing on my counter I’m trying the All in One toothbrush head by Philips to target the area. I’m surprised with using double time on my brushing and excessive flossing and rinsing I still miss some area of my teeth.
ОтветитьYou're supposed to do it under your gums!? No wonder I didnt seem to get it right 🫣
ОтветитьSo terrified of doing this because it looks as if I could pull the teeth out ir smth. I know that’s irrational fear but that’s what kept me from trying until a dentist I trust convinced me to do it. Maybe that will help with my endless problems.
ОтветитьIrony hear me out:
1) In most ppl Front teeth dont get germs/debris. Also it is easy to clean with floss.
2) The molars which are far way back get most debris stuck & they dont have gaps between 2 molars.
So I doubt that how can flossing actually help where it is needed- molars, as it cant reach there
yeah thanks but people don't have problem flossing their incisors, they have problem flossing around the third molars.
ОтветитьMy dentist reccomend me to use small interdental brush together with normal brush and mouth wash.
İs it better to use dental floss or interdental brush? Thanks.
6 inches!?
Ответитьthis can easily take 30min+. my arms start to hurt holding up so long.
ОтветитьFlossing takes so long to do every tooth is there any faster methods?
ОтветитьI used a floss pick for a while but when I went to the dentist and they used string floss my gums were bleeding as if I never flossed! Now I have to make the switch to string floss, it’s so much more difficult that it seems
ОтветитьIn most videos and tutorials, is is said that back and forth flossing have to be avoided. Only up and down is allowed. But in this video, it is different
ОтветитьFLOSS BEFORE BRUSHING? Damn that makes a lot of sense
Ответить6 inches!??
ОтветитьWhy do it looks so painful 😣
Ответитьthx
ОтветитьHis brushing technique is terrible! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWorthless. No one has a problem flossing front teeth as shown. The issue is back teeth. No way to get fingers to the back. Silly propaganda says just as your dentist. No dentist every gives such advice.
ОтветитьThe ones whose teaths has many gaps in between them and has teeths not in line should they have only bracels treatment left or any other way is there ?
ОтветитьThis is the kind of stuff I use private search for
ОтветитьThe "underneath your gum" kinda scares me a bit....what if they start bleeding? That happens to me alot. Also, I've been hearing after you brish your teeth is good? Why is this being said? I also find it difficult to reach the teeth, any advice for that?
ОтветитьIdk traditional flossing is so annoying to me and it doesn’t get the job done at the end with so much time and work spent on it. I use floss picks and they’re perfect they get so much out, easy to use, and much faster. Idk it’s annoying to know that traditional flossing is healthier when I don’t see the point, how is it? I still get the floss pick down to my gum and it removes lots. Can just someone explain why would it not be as effective as traditional flossing? Maybe because I have lots of empty spaces between my teeth so it’s easier to use floss picks for me, idk
ОтветитьIt's not a very enjoyable activity. I find that I tend to be rather paranoid about damaging the gums.
Ответитьshe said 6 inches bruv
ОтветитьFinlay after cutting my gum By floss im here
ОтветитьWhy after flossing gums filing like they are inflamed and some thing is stuck in them
ОтветитьI'm glad I watched this👏👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьMaybe a stupid question, but I will ask anyway :) If I buy the water flosser do you still recommend using first standard flossing followed by water flossing and then brushing my teeth? I am asking this because I've read in a few places that water flossing CAN'T fully replace standard flossing. I don't know if that's true or not :) Should I first use interdental brushes followed by the water flosser and then brush my teeth with an electric toothbrush? Would that be the best option in your opinion? Thank you in advance for your answer!
ОтветитьDoes it not just make your gums bleed.
ОтветитьGood video though interestingly enough my dentist (UK) mentioned that water flossing is not a substitute for normal "string" flossing and should only be used to complement which by extension makes water flossing redundant. This was around 3 years ago, has advice been updated to now confirm that water flossing is a good substitute for regular flossing?
ОтветитьWater flossing DOES NOT replace string flossing. Of course, water flossing is better than not flossing at all. Ideally, you should use both. I use a water flosser before brushing, then string floss afterward. When you use string floss after brushing your teeth, you're spreading the flouride toothpaste between your teeth. It's all personal preference, I suppose.
ОтветитьI don't use preliaded floss because they're obviously bad for the environment!
ОтветитьWe dont floss in our country, it's a new knowledge for me
ОтветитьWhich floss is safe and better?
ОтветитьBig no to water flosser
Ответитьthe hardest part is to put your finger in mouth.i literally cant do it.there is no space.its so uncomfortable.
ОтветитьIn a life of stress and depression, I don’t have the patience or the willpower to do this flossing shit. I come home and just go straight to bed or on my phone on bed.
Wish I was a kid again just to get away from it all.
She looks Indian, but her accent is British.
Ответитьi hate the way it goes under your gums it freaks me out so much and i’m scared it will make them recede
ОтветитьThanks I forgot to use floss then use my toothbrush
Ответить"Remove about six inches worth." Proceeds to remove over a foot --> Every man commences sweating 😂
ОтветитьHow the hell are their gums not bleeding?
ОтветитьDoes the water flosser help with puffy gums?
ОтветитьSo teeth bleed if food gets trapped in the gums for too long?
ОтветитьIf you eat foods like peanuts, meat, is good to floss. Generally, molars have tightest gaps.
