Gay kings could’ve been rewritten easily it is gross
ОтветитьHard to believe half the incel shit Ronnie said is real considering the clear bias of OP. Granted, Ronnie should have saw where the winds were blowing and left, but the DM was objectively a passive aggressive little shit and should have been man enough to either talk things one on one with him or tell him to leave.
ОтветитьWell Ronnie seems like a moron on the other hand most people are not gay and I dont think any RP group I was in would have dared do this past 2010 outside maybe some LARP games or live action World Of Darkness but you have to be careful with the Goths alot of them are Christians. But what concerns me is the title of this video All sexualities are political by its nature is a political statement so if Ronnie doesnt agree there are 46 genders and spectrum of sexuality he is a neckbeard. He seems to be painted as someone desperate for hetero attention or incel as you call him but I am wondering if this story is true all of the interactions with Ronnie seem contrived even in a fantasy point of view. And your groups seem to have a trend of unwanted homosexual attention, so which is it. Your groups seem to want to push the sexuality spectrum into acceptance by all players but stop short at forced sexual encounters and that makes it A OK. I am not sure who the toxic party in this situation is.
ОтветитьGotta love using the uber trendy insult "incel" when complaining about not taking sexualities seriously.
ОтветитьIm gonna say this every single one of those people (if this story is real) is a asshole and there are definitely details being left out
ОтветитьSorry but the LGBTQ+ mafia have positioned the whole gender and sexual preference thing to the point where I get Ronnie, assuming that was even the actual story. Just leave it out, as fare as other real world politics. For me that would be a hard NO. As for the "But everything is political" crowed... fuck off, you know full well what people mean. But as always people with leftist beliefs don't want to talk politics when it goes against them.
Thinking more about it, actually sounds like Ronnie embraced the RP aspect, trying to argue his characters way out of getting taxed.
I happen to enjoy playing characters that are the complete opposite of myself in real life.
ОтветитьI get what you're saying (sexuality/attraction isn't by definition political), but at the same time, I kinda get why the guy was annoyed. Not the players' faults, it's just that you hear about it so much ALL THE TIME that your mind can jump to politics even when it's irrelevant. People should cultivate discernment and take a step back to evaluate the situation before getting upset, though.
ОтветитьI've heard this sort of sentiment before. I'm bi, what policies do I believe in? Low taxes, high taxes? Do I want small government, big government? Do I think the minimum wage should be increased or lowered? What is my stance on foreign policy? Like bro, I just think certain people are pretty regardless of what they have down there. It's not political.
Ответитьas a traditional christian man, I think it was very silly for a maga dude to bring his real world expectations to a fantasy roleplay game 😄
ОтветитьI thought it was gonna be that the issue was that they weren't playing a straight character... but this is someone an even dumber problem
ОтветитьRonnie asking "can there even be gay tieflings?" is so funny when, as someone who mains as a tiefling, I can tell you about 90% of other tielfing mains I've seen are queer lmao.
ОтветитьI’ll take “things that probably never happened” for $500, Alex. If real, it’s a good example of what can happen when you don’t gatekeep your hobby to keep activist weirdos out. I’d rather play with Ronnie than any of the karens in this story.
ОтветитьI’m sorry but I kind of agree with Ronnie.
ОтветитьEveryone in this story sounds like a terminally online political weirdo. Mind you, this story was from the perspective of an OP who was clearly trying to paint the other guy's views in a negative light, and yet he still came off as being equally cringe. So make of that what you will.
Ответитьop is c,ap
Ответитьhow could u not c how false this is?
Ответитьi bet the otherside to this story is WAAAAAY diff
ОтветитьSounds like Ronnie is better off without them.
ОтветитьMy character is political lol. She is extremely racist toward goblins due to past trauma. Makes it very difficult for our party, especially if we ever come across any friendly goblins. Zephyra, my character, will attack on sight
ОтветитьRonnie way probably ROLE PLAYING a Jerk Rogue. It's pretty obvious his party was trying to start things. I shouldn't have to explain this to you but...people Are Not their Characters. I agree with him about Tielings & the ghost thing was trolling, dud.
ОтветитьThis stuff always drives me crazy; nearly everything has a political component, its the nature of things and society as a whole (even in outcast life, politics are a key aspect of people interaction) I'm not sure how you could avoid or remove these aspects entirely. sexuality is natural and normal; this guy clearly has something against any sort of diversity xD
ОтветитьOkay, I already hate everyone here but Ronnie, he wasnt really hostile, HE JUST QUESTIONED THE LOGIC HERE
Ответить"I don't think tieflings can be gay" Um, has this man played DnD before? Tieflings are unanimously the gayest race.
ОтветитьYou can how ever you like as long as everyone on ball with that they agreed on in session 0. If you start springing up additional conditions without informing others, just why would you do that?
ОтветитьI believe this is a very fabricated story. Regardless, though, all the players are complete garbage.
Title should be "toxic group miss uses the term fantasy politicals"
The comments section doesn't pass the vibe check at all. Allying with Ronnie after "lesbian tieflings would be married offc is insane work.
ОтветитьBuncha sodomite activists. I personally can’t handle any more gay stuff, as it is an abomination in the eyes of the lord, so any time I can steer clear of it, I do. Stay strong brothers.
ОтветитьPlay bard, high charaism, auto fail checks why, because fantasy irs.
ОтветитьWhenever characters get too big for their britches, I call in my Pale Mistress character Vajra to literally bash them with the crystal end of her staff, paralyzing them and doing 2d10 bludgeoning damage, yelling "THE BALANCE PREVAILS!" before leaving like that black dude in the cowboy hat and purple speedo from that one movie
ОтветитьWhen the major political talking points are bigoted agaisnt straight people it has been made political. I can see where this player is coming from because all i have heard for 8 years straight is players trying to force gay or communist plotlines on players that dont like communism or gay things. Its like the players that won't shut up about critical roll when you are trying to have your own campaign. There is nothing wrong with critical roll but when you try to force other players into it who are not into it is when people quit tables
ОтветитьHey I play for the combat problem solving, not the roleplay aspect.
ОтветитьWell technically everything but the ones that genuinely exist are 😂
ОтветитьI’m a conservative Christian and very set in my ways. But it never bothers me when other people are gay or bi or any other kind of sexuality. Especially in a fake world with no real consequences.
ОтветитьThe moment of the misunderstanding, "Oh I didn't know out of game. Therefore, my character did not say that, and only spoke a friendly offer with purely platonic vibes" and move on. Romance, Politics, Erotica, and Edgelord stuff is usually going to be a sign of trouble from the inciting player.
ОтветитьThere's no escaping politics, it is literally EVERYWHERE.
Even Japanese manga, which is largely about mindless fun power fantasy. has references to everything from the civil rights movement to the holocaust (Who would expect a Fist of the North Star spinoff to focus on the Jewish diaspora and the quest for a permanent home? In for heads exploding, staying to see a semi corrupt yet heroic French Jewish soldier reunite with his lost sister after fleeing Germany)
The elf player is weird, for sure. He seems to be there for a different experience than the others, and that certainly can lead to conflict.
The guy, almost right off the bat, requests no politics. Sexuality is not politics, though many do conflate the two. In response, pretty much immediately after, someone else forces politics in.
That's pretty spiteful to me, and for next to no reason. It's early enough in the campaign to establish ground rules, and instead of ironing boundaries and intentions concerning the game and each other, people become petty and passive-aggressive.
This is one of the most salvageable "horror stories" I've seen. It only gets worse because no one seems to want to fix anything from the very start.
I love politics in my games because of the ability of 4 lunatics to completely circumvent the system and accidentally destroy 3 castles and topple an entire empire in 1 day, leading to complete chaos throughout the surrounding nations.
My players very well know I care a lot about the politics of my fantasy.
Damn. D&D stories really have fallen off…
ОтветитьI've had to make the point to a couple different players over the years that politics does not mean, anything they don't like.
One of them turned out great. The other one had to be removed from the group
Poor guy joined a cringe DM game
ОтветитьNah. I don't like gay shit in my games. I would have changed one of the kings into a queen. Two kings? Smfh. Nonsense.
ОтветитьNow hold on, Ronnie here might have a point about the gay tieflings
ОтветитьIts not that hard if u model it after real life.
ОтветитьPolitics in D&D are great! 21st century politics in D&D makes no sense.
ОтветитьI think all parties are in the wrong here. Ronnie did start it off first by equating personal sex feelings with politics. But the rest decided to blatantly stoke up what he was accusing of. Ronnie may have started it, but the rest got immature about it. Horror story indeed where everyone is screwed.
ОтветитьImo politics in dnd only as parody are good like in helldivers.
ОтветитьI hate that... It's worse for transgender people... It's like you can't just be an apolitical transgender person if you wanted to be one... Random people will quite possibly get in your face and make it political even if you're just trying to live your life because they don't see it as just you identifying it as a different gender and expressing yourself in that way... Instead, to a rightwinger, it's like you're attacking their politics by your mere existence (and as a result of this they potentially need to go tell you why you're wrong as you're walking down the street or something)...
ОтветитьRogue: "can we keep real-world politics out of the game?"
DM: "I agree. Rogue this is your first warning, you will be banned the next time you politicize someone for being gay"
