I have 2 December babies so I'm right there with you on making sure they feel special on their day and I do not ever combine bday and Christmas presents. Its all separate. I have one daughter turning 13 on Dec 2nd and the my other daughter is turning 19 on Dec.18th.

Two, a great gift idea for a birthday or (early) Christmas gift for next year (depending on the dates in your area) is the new Dogman Musical. In my area there’s dates for early December (of 25) and mid January (of 26). My son is 9 1/2 and I’m definitely considering getting tickets for the musical. I’m a musical theater fan but didn’t think my son would be interested. But when our school had the high school kids do a preview of beauty and the beast last year, he wanted to go so badly. Another great idea for boys (or really any gender/age) are Declan’s mining buckets. We have had several in the last year and a half and both my kids LOVE it. And let’s be honest I love them too.

I so get u my childs birthday is 3 days before Christmas.I usually do 1 big gift & 2 or 3 smaller toys then some clothes + shoes.I try not to do too much coz it will be a crazy overlaod of toys come christmas morning

I also like to keep things equal my other kids birthday is in October so not far from Christmas so i also keep it similar clothes + shoes & 3 or 4 things she really wants shes not into toys anymore though similar to ur 10yr old

I have a Dec 21st kiddo and it’s so hard! He’s turning 2 this year and I feel so bad. It’s like his birthday is an afterthought to Christmas. Seriously considering half birthday celebrations for him in the summer around when we celebrate his older brother’s birthday.

Blow up furniture was made in the 70s. As well, and possibly late sixties, I remember the adult inflatable furniture when I was a little girl, I remember one of my mom's friends having inflatable adult couch and chair, believe it or not even back then
