I remember when I was little, it was in the early days of the internet and we would download whatever sketchy games we wanted. One time the computer got remote controlled, it was so scary to see the mouse moving on its own knowing that someone else was doing it. We manually turned off the computer. Never happened again after that.

I got one that hit me on win 98 in 2004 , it was called ms update.exe luckily I had downloaded adaware a week prior and got rid of it !

Living with someone who doesn’t care if they get computer viruses is a nightmare! Especially since we all use the same operating system. The only thing that’s different is our laptops. We have 2. One is Windows and one is Chrome OS. All of our phones are iOS so we wanted to avoid Mac for our computers. None of us know enough on infecting other devices so we’re hoping a different operating system will help. We can replace our phones but we can’t replace our computers as easily

CIH is one of the worst ones I've seen. Instead of writing its code at the end of infected files, it instead writes itself in gaps in the program code, thus preventing detection. And the worst part isn't that it's a space filler -- It makes it so that if you restart the infected computer, it would not boot at all because it screwed up the BIOS. Most destructive viruses would only screw up critical files on the OS, leading to a BSOD. Turn on a CIH infected computer, and you won't even see the name of the PC (Say, Dell) when you start up -- you'll just start up to a blank screen.

Truly terrifying.

One of the worst viruses is the MEMZ virus which totally wrecked your computers, but then again ive had strange viruses as well!

One caused my computer's sfx to echo! But the funniest one was called the MAD BOMBER virus! It caused an atari style airplane to appear on screen, drop a cartoon bomb, and the explosion had a message typed in it saying "You've fell victim to the mad bomber! Now you must send money to my address below o get the access code!"

Another one caused an old man to walk across the screen perpetually and another caused a weird sailboat to begin moving across the screen!
