Hey guys, welcome back to Zilliqa Zebra. Zilliqa is introducing a new-and-improved NFT token standard that will drive Zilliqa right into the forefront of the creator economy. The ZRC-6 is a major upgrade from the ZRC-1 and includes several novel features that will be key for creators and builders. This standard also includes some enhanced functionalities for NFTs powered by Zilliqa. In addition to being energy-friendly, ZRC-6 will pave the way for Zilliqa as a leading NFT issuance platform.

Zilliqa is opening things up for community feedback as they finalise the standard. Here are some of the key features of ZRC-6:
Royalties — Marketplaces can now integrate royalty features with ZRC-6 tokens, as the token allows for an optional interface that captures royalty details, enabling creators to be paid royalties on sales.
Batch operations for minting, burning, and token transfers.

The delivery of all these innovative features is at the core of Zilliqa’s ambitions to become the blockchain-of-choice for the creator economy. In this video, I will be running through the impetus for adopting the ZRC-6 standard as well as some of the features of ZRC-6. This is rather technical so pardon me if my video is not able to convey the features in the best way possible.
