HOW do we all fall in love with that group
ОтветитьMantis is so underrated
Ответитьthe whole group has suffered
ОтветитьI've read Brandon Mull's "Beyonders" trilogy twice.
ОтветитьPlease do a high evolutionary therapy 🙏🙏🙏
ОтветитьPsychology of deadpool
ОтветитьAlan and I are always crying together
ОтветитьHere was the thing that really struck me. When they're looking at logs for Rocket of his making. It made Nebula... fucking Nebula wince....
You've seen how much she's been torn apart...... and even she was wincing and disgusted......
Key to their connection is they are all orphans.
ОтветитьYou guys should react to Peacemaker…some great character development in that show.
ОтветитьSo i just watched the third guardians movie very recently with my son and my husband. I was crying so hard. I was really struggling with what they were doing to rocket and his friends. I was getting so angry but i cant scream or shout or do anything so the rage just starts pouring out in tears. But then also just feeling so sorry that humans (sort of) did this to him and i just hate cruel humans i really do and theres loads more cruel people than there are good. Because half the time people dont realise they are being cruel
ОтветитьHoly shit, Brandon Mull. That's not a name I expected to see here. Now I need to go see if he's still making that damn in-character retelling mistake where the tone doesn't adopt the character's voice at all and is blatantly just Brandon telling their story while omitting stuff the recounting person didn't know.
I read those books way too many times, okay? This stuff grates after a while, even if it only comes up on occasion.
I find Nebula's reaction to the fact Rocket is safe really moving. She spent the entire blip with him, giving them time to bond. They have a lot of similarities. Both have been cybernetically enhanced against their will and put through horrific pain to further the ends of a megalomaniac they initially trust. Both are very good fighters and have a scrappy resilience. Like rocket, Nebula also has a tendency to hide emotional vulnerability with aggression or anger. Yet here she is openly weeping with relief, cupping her mouth in her hands because the friend she loves isn't going to die. It's a beautiful moment. When he finally says “Rocket… Raccoon.” I wept. He finally accepts who he is and what he is… it really hurts.
ОтветитьI cried so hard in vol 3.
Sidenote: when High Revolutionary called him 89P13 when they meet again, ngl i screamed "stop calling him by his dead name!"
I realized I haven't watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 & 3. I'll be back when I have.
ОтветитьPlease do a video about Bucky Barnes/Winter soldier
ОтветитьI FINALLY watched the 3rd movie! Now I can watch this video 😭♥️
ОтветитьGuardians 3 was emotional whiplash. One second I’m crying my eyes out, the next they have me laughing my ass off.
ОтветитьDang this brings me back to my story
Of being born in a abusive home then getting adopted at age 7 but every one thought I would never learn how to talk because no tried to teach me intelligence my adaptive parents tonight me then my past started coming to me when I 15 I started getting angry young man but in me I always wanted to help people but my anger took me were I didn't want to go at age 16 I went to a mental hospital for 8 #&%@ months and in the beginning of this year I came home and continued theorapy for help and now the theoripest are believing I am ready to move on from therapy
I absolutely think GotG is probably the best movie of the MCU which is why I was a little disappointed with the 2nd. And given the general direction of MCU I haven't really been in a hurry to watch the 3rd GotG but apparently I'm missing something.
ОтветитьOmmgggg ive read the beyonders so many times!!!! This man helped make my childhood😆😆😆, thank you very much for having him on
ОтветитьMeh. I liked the movies, but i think Gunn might very well be the most overrated film maker.
ОтветитьEnjoyed your video
Ответитьwhat is really interesting is the paralelism with quils story and rocket story: in the first movie quil is 80s cool guy and has this attitude of superiority, while rocket is defensive agressive and non trusting, but as the story progreses both experience events that changes them, quill starts losing people he love and cared, and rocket starts to get more and more closed to his new family,
in the 3rd movie rocket is now the one who command the guardians and quill is a hell of a mess, but as soon a rocket gets hurt he does the imposible to save his live and cries when he is saved, he was really scared that he may loose another loved one, people were angry that he left the guardians but quil really needed a time off to heal
Brandon looks so incredibly uncomfortable between the two of them.
ОтветитьI just saw this movie last night, and of course I cried my eyes out.
But I also got a bit of my spark back when Rocket said "I'm done running."
I finally felt that I'm done with all the pain I've been through the last few years. I know what I want to do now and, I have a plan. Or to be honest, part of a plan (where did I hear this before?).
So last night it was the best sleep I had in months, and I've been doing way better today and the plan is in motion. LET'S GOOO!
As someone who has trauma and anger issues bc of it (and stil learning it be emotionally vulnerable), Guardians 3 helped me DEEPLY. It was therapeutic not only to see Rocket heal but to see him fucking WIN that battle with his trauma and finally heal and celebrate. That final shot of him yelling out triumphantly as he dances is so cathartic. Fuck sake it gets me choked up just thinking about it cause it really makes me believe that one day I’ll win my battle with trauma and be a new and better person bc of it.
ОтветитьBruh I learned something interesting recently.
One of my ex-coworkers' dad bullied Brandon Mull at a young men's camp 😳 (basically just teased him for being so into fantasy stuff and kicked him out of their tent)
I can't cry, I can't cry! I'm in public!!
ОтветитьBecause he is me.
ОтветитьThat moment when Drax pets Rocket Raccoon in Guardians 1 always hits home, it's such an earnest response from physics trauma, but he understands that Drax really cares about him. This whole trilogy confronts trauma so well and it's incredible; I wish more mainstream media could understand the power of the weaker parts of our humanity
ОтветитьI wasn't ready to cry while watching this video but I should have known better. Thank you for highlighting the stages of healing from trauma
Ответитьman i wish the stormlight archive from brandon sanderson was in movies because i would love a hero therapy for shallan
ОтветитьThere are soooo many moments in this, where I just feel called out... And I really need it
ОтветитьBrandon Mull!!!!! I love his books, Fablehaven, Beyonders, Five Kingdoms, etc.
ОтветитьMan… when rockets friends died… oh man one of the few times my heart sank, I felt like I got punched in the gut, and I had to hold back tears all at one time.
This episode was great. Keep up the good work. It’s really helped change my outlook
I remember liking Rocket back in the Heroclix days. He and Thor made a good combo even back then!
ОтветитьIn the first "Guardians", I think Groot is the most deceptively intelligent character (at the very least, emotional intelligence) . He sees all of the Guardians' potential when they can't see it in themselves.
He also spends the movie knowing exactly how much force to display. Allowing the others to let their talents shine. He clearly demonstrates his true destructive force at the end of the movie. Even Drax shows clear admiration.
I think this is my favorite of ALL of your videos (which I have all seen MANY times)
ОтветитьThe Guardians trilogy is an outlier of superhero movies. The general criticism of superhero movies is that so few of them really have this kind of spark that grabs us. A few here and there do, for sure. But they're the exceptions. The occasional blue lobsters, if you will.
ОтветитьHey do you guys think you could do psychology of a hero/villian on one of the X-men like Professor x, Magneto, or mystique. It would be cool to hear ur thoughts on that.
ОтветитьGuardians 3 is one of my fav MCU movies
Ответитьnot yall casually inviting the author of my favorite series onto the show. I hated reading as a kid, but I read the first 5 books of Fablehaven in under a month when I discovered it. I think about it constantly lol
ОтветитьCartoon swearing talking murderous raccoon is my new favorite way to refer to Rocket.
ОтветитьA Doctor Who episode on this channel would be great!
ОтветитьYou guys NEED to do an episode on Godzilla Minus One!
ОтветитьI have really got to get around to seeing the third one. I need to reactivate my Disney+ subscription and do so. Heck, I may re-watch the first two before I do that. May even throw in a re-watch of Endgame, too.
Ответить
