I will be in NYC in 2 weeks just to hang out. I'm watching walking tours and road tours which is funny because it won't be my first time and it's not like I need to see it on YT to know what it's like because I'll be there soon. lol NYC is one of the only walkable cities in the US with a public transit that can actually bring you everywhere (not always on time but better than LA for sure). It's also enjoyable to walk in the city in the evening because Manhattan is a safe place. Last time I was there, I saw NYPD cars at almost every street corner and the strange dudes were not acting aggressively unlike many other cities. Plus, you can pretty much walk for hours without caring too much about the hood safety because all of Manhattan is safe. I already did a list of coffee shops to visit and chill. Last two trips were to discover the city, the one in two weeks will be to take my time, find cool places and relax.
