So I was Team Jezza the whole way, still am, but there is one thing I disagree with him for, and I understamd why he lied, but I should hope some of you were smart enough to realize that Clarkson had choices of 928 available and he chose one that was slightly more expensive because the license plate was funny to him. Him and James are like me in that regard, we love history and historical references, and for a Brit going to Argentina, there is no more perfect historical reference than H982 FKL.

It was 100% intentional, no, he did not register the car, but he sure as fuck was smart enough to understand what that plate was referencing before he bought it, he could've bought any other car, but no other car would have such a perfect easter egg for those who pay attention.

They had to say it was unintentional to avoid further drama, had that not happened, I bet you they had scripted jokes and scenes that reference it.

In most specials, they make light jokes at the expense of the host country, its the Brits showing love, but for Argentina, they didn't have any. Do you really think they didn't make any jokes over the course of months for that special? They edited it all out and sanitized that special to avoid any further drama, and never referenced it going forward, aside from one throwaway joke during a news segment, that entire special could have never happened at all and Top Gear's portfolio would be no different, its as if its a standalone feature, not actually a part of Top Gear.

But for affordable, junk yard sourced and built, Southern tweaked Detroit Muscle from the fountain head of Thunder Road and moonshiner four wheel rocket type cars that are 2,000 horsepower and up, go to Dahlonega, GA, USA. There are 3 speeds in Georgia, USA: fast, faster, fastest. No carbon fiber, solid Detroit steel, wheelie bar on the back so don't flip the car over. 0-60? How fast do you accelerate to to pop the car up on street legal slicks so it doesn't come down for a city block, corner to corner? These cars in Dahlia mega and rural Georgia are junkyard sourced because kids in the rural South don't have Hollywood budgets. They have tachometers with rust, street legal slicks, and engines with serious attitude problems that drink a 100 octane racing fuel or moonshine. When is Top Gear going to profile breathtaking and surreal American ingenuity that's a rocket on four wheels. The kid who wanted to sell me a 2,000 horsepower hotrod for $5,000.00 USD (five thousand dollars for a 2,000 horsepower car, rusty as old pig iron and faster than greased lightning) started building cars working in his uncle's junkyard while still in diapers.
