I was reviewing an interview of Microsoft's Altair BASIC on paper tape and was confused as to what Bill Gates was talking about.  Thank you for share this short demo!

Please inform me what type of light sensor I should use that fits within the reading space.

It does not fit 8 photoresists with 5mm to read an tape of 8 bits with 1 inch. Are you sure they are not 3mm photoresistors?
