to this day Russia will take old T55s and turn them into mobile turret emplacements, digging them into hills where only the turret can freely pop out or taking the turrets off entirely, but even today they are using old tanks for anything they can! Not to mention the ability to modernize essentially any tank

I believe you are mistaken that no-one was aware of the planned attack on Russia in 1941 - apart from the two men mentioned. Churchill knew about it via decrypts from Bletchley Park, and according to his memoirs, following discussions with his military advisors, he decided to send a substantial British force to threaten the German southern flank in Greece. This could never have succeeded as a full invasion, but it so angered Hitler that he sent several divisions down to Greece to evict them. This succeeded, but the British advisors had already calculated that the lack of those divisions would be enough to prevent the Germans reaching Moscow by the onset of winter. That is exactly what happened, in fact, and it eventually resulted in Russia’s victory over Nazi Germany. There was much more to Churchill than people realise. For example, he prevented Franco entering the war for Germany, despite that he owed his victory in the Spanish Civil War to him. How? Spain had no oil. Germany had very little. We guaranteed Spain’s oil supply throughout the war in exchange for our control over Gibraltar - and consequently our access to the Med and the Suez Canal - and our empire. So today we have democracy throughout the western world. That is entirely due to Churchill’s ruthless genius.

The Red army's common soldier were very brave, almost suicidal in nature, they were just used as cannon fodder the majority of peasant stock, thousands, thousands were moored down recklessly against strong german positions in relentless attacks still using the old russian tactic the ''steamroller'' and to make sure they understood stalin's famous message ''Not a step back'' order No 227 (Prikaz) The dreaded NKVD (secret police) were stationed behind the front line waiting to catch anybody soldier who retreated with a hail of machine gun bullets it was either german bullets or soviet bullets

You can't even begin to imagine what the citizens and soldiers of Leningrad, Stalingrad, and all the other territories went though. So many lives lost.

My great grandfather fought in Russia, then defended Moscow with my great granduncle and grane uncle. Then my great grand uncle and grand uncle went north towards Leningrad, and my great-grandfather went to Stalingrad. My Great grand uncle and grand uncle didn't survive rest in peace, but my great grandfather survived, once he liberated Stalingrad he went to fight in Ukraine, Poland, then he finally made it to Berlin. Eternal memory to the heroes!

This is an eye opening documentary for people like me who are brainwashed by Western propaganda and Hollywood movies about DDay, after watching this I can say USSR defeated Germany. With respect to the allies little contribution.

Stalin was ready to leave and I believe he did leave but forget the source of that imformation. He left town often to avoid the bombing unlike my parents staying in London during the Blitz ! As Kruschev said Stalin was a horrible person.
