Watching from Guantamano Bay,Cuba deployed with the Navy...In 2014 me and my soulmate/best friend Zoe went go to Gatlinburg and just have the best time during Christmas, she was my everything. she committed suicide on 9-11-22. We used to watch the parade, go to Anakeesta, go to the top of the space needle and hit up Shamrock's pub at the end of the night. The emotions are at a all time high watching this. First year that I won't be in Gatlinburg for Christmas...I always visit Gatlinburg a few days before Christmas and head down to Charleston,SC to see my Dad. Hold the fort down guys, I'll be there Christmas 2025. Much love and light to everyone, Merry Christmas!

It has been 50 years since visiting Gatlinburg. The main thing to see were a lot of sops that said, "Going Out of Business". Every day the same shops were going out of business. That was their marketing or con. This parade makes me want to see it again if I read and see that it has changed. I remember it being a nice town/city. / If tis parade were in Houston, that first float would have a big business sign and its employees standing on it. That first float beats Houston, Texas entire parades easily. / Nighttime parades, near Christmas, always seem better than the daytime parades. The atmosphere seems better with lights. / I would switch the go-carts from gasoline to electric. Same fun, less noise and pollution in the mountains.

Ryan, this was excellent. Your video footage and editing were fantastic. I felt like I was right there with you. Thank you for bringing this wonderful parade to us. Being in a marching band when I was in high school and college, i especially enjoyed seeing and hearing all the bands. Thank you for zooming up close on them so that I could see, hear, and enjoy them . 😊

Beautiful parade. Would anyone know if it’s possible to get a singular car in the parade or do you have to be associated with someone? I’ve wrapped my car in lights etc along with other things and would love to participate.
